July So Far

There are rarely pictures of me in here so I made sure to include this one.  ;) Nothing special was going on... just an afternoon relaxing with Kolton while Bentley napped.  I've really enjoyed this summer and it has gone by way to fast! I am not ready for Kolton to go back to school yet!! 

On July 9th we went and tried the new trampoline park in Moore called Elevation.  Kolton loved it and didn't want to leave.  I felt bad, though, because with like 2 minutes left in his jumping time I called him over to me to take a picture and he ended up rolling his ankle.  He tried to jump through it but when he tried he realized it actually hurt.  Haha.  Poor kid.  It felt better a few minutes later, thankfully.  Bentley wasn't allowed to jump so he just followed Joni and I around and played with these little animal balls Joni found in her bag.  :)  

 On the 10th we went to the Botanical Gardens with the Widdisons and played at the playground and in the splash pad.  We brought a sack lunch and had a good time.  I was able to get Bentley to finally put his feet in the water at the splash pad for the last little bit so that was an improvement! :) 

 We had a nice little rain storm on the 13th and Kolton asked if he could go play in it so we put on swimsuits and headed out.  Kolton had a blast jumping on the trampoline kicking balls and Bentley loved putting his binky in the water coming out of the rain gutter.  Haha.  

Saturday night, the 11th, Brady and I went on a date to dinner at Kendall's and then to Thundervalley to watch the car races.  It was loud but it was a lot of fun! I'm glad I was able to go with him.  We ended up having to leave before the last race which was a bummer because we promised our babysitter we'd get her home before midnight but we had been there for 3 hours so we got our fill! :) 

Sunday morning came too early haha but I enjoyed hanging out with my two cute little boys.  

 Monday, the 13th, Kolton had his last soccer game.  And lucky for him Grandpa flew into town that day and was able to come to it! He came to our house and ate dinner real quick and then we headed to his game.  It was so fun to be able to have him come with us.  He also brought us an M&M dispenser that looks kind of like a gumball machine and then an M&M bowl that they got in Vegas.  The kids absolutely LOVE that M&M dispenser!! Kolton was pretty nervous beforehand, hoping he'd play well and that the team we'd play would be "good but not too good." Haha.  All that hoping and wishing paid off because Kolton ended up shooting 100% on 16 shots!! It was insane!! And not all of them were layups either, so it was even more insane! It was a great way to end the season.

 After the game we went to Dairy Queen to celebrate and then Grandpa came to our house for a little bit longer.

 Bentley has loved having Kolton home this summer.  He literally follows him around any chance he can get.  I love it.  

 I had to snap this picture because it was so cute.  We were sitting on the couch with Bentley laying on me and then Kolton laying on Bentley.  Bentley was even rubbing Kolton's head.  It was sweet.  

 We went to the park on the 16th early in the morning so it wasn't too hot.  Kolton would ride down the slide real quick and then turn around to tickle Bentley who had come down the slide behind him.  It was super cute.  

 Thursday night Brady's work had their work "picnic" at Main Event.  Kolton wanted me to take this picture to send to Brady asking if what he was wearing was ok to wear to the work party.  He wanted to show Brady he was wearing some of his new underwear too.  Haha.  Oh my goodness.  It was funny.  

 They had food catered in and so we ate when we first got there and then they had rented out the building and so everyone could play unlimited games etc.  It was like a big HeyDey.  Kolton wanted to do the ropes course first thing so we went and did that.  It was fun! 

 Friday we ran some errands and picked up some things at a few stores...one of which was Brady's bike that he had bought with all his birthday money.  We went on a bike ride that evening.  It was fun being able to go as a family now and Brady really liked his bike! 

Saturday morning we went to soccer and then headed to one of Erin Bean's basketball games.  Kolton apparently was exhausted because we came home that evening and he quickly fell asleep on our bed.  :) 

 Sunday the 19th I had to teach Relief Society as well as sub in Kolton's primary class with Brady.  So we put Bentley in nursery for the first time without either of us staying for any of it.  He did great they said! Brady and I had fun teaching Kolton's class.  It is a good group of kids and it is always fun to sub in primary for one week! :) Then Brady went with them to singing and sharing time and I went to go teach Relief Society.  I haven't done that in a few years so I was a little nervous at first but then once it got going I felt great.  The lesson went really well and we had a good meeting.  After church I then had a girls camp meeting with the stake to talk about our experiences this year with ward camp and then talk about next year's stake camp.  It was a long Sunday! 

Monday I took Beckett and Kolton to HeyDey.  They played a couple games of lasertag and then did the ropes course.  They had a ton of fun! 

 We then came home, ate lunch, played mariokart, soccer inside, and played outside.  It was a fun day! 

Monday night we went to Brady's parent's house and saw Maddi who had come home for a few days to visit.  We brought the video of Kolton's basketball game from the previous week and watched that and chatted and hung out.  

 Tuesday night was Joni's birthday celebration/girl's night.  Brady had school so I took the kids to his parent's house to have them watch them so I could go to the dinner.  While I was gone Kolton went with Maddi up to the church to watch some guys play basketball.  He thought that was pretty cool.  Then Maddi ended up staying the night that night and then took Kolton to breakfast with her the next morning with some friends.  Wednesday I had to go get the oil changed in the truck (which was supposed to take 30-45 minutes but ended up taking 2.5 hours!!!) and then I went and picked up Maddi and Kolton and we went to Whitewater.  We were only there for like an hour and a half since I was late from the oil change.  Then we went to Subway and met Brady for lunch since Whitewater is super close to his work. 

Friday Brady flew out to Utah to go to Dylen's wedding.  I was bummed we couldn't all go but we just could not afford it.  At least Brady got to go! I had picked up a frozen pizza and some ice cream cones from Walmart earlier that day for the kids and I to enjoy that night.  We laid a blanket out on the floor, ate pizza and ice cream, and watched Mulan and Mulan II.  It was a lot of fun! Kolton said it was the "best night ever!"  

 Saturday morning we got up, picked up some donuts, and then went and bought all of Kolton's school supplies.  We then had Kolton's end of season basketball party at the Green's pool.  When they called Kolton's name to get his medal some of the siblings and kids started chanting "MVP! MVP!" Kolton thought that was pretty darn cool.  

 Kolton and Madelyn have played together since their very first season. 

 When we got home I put Bentley down and then Kolton labeled all his school supplies.  He loves doing that! 

Finally Sunday evening we were able to go pick up Brady from the airport!! So glad to have him back home! 

Brady sent me a picture Sunday morning captioned "my Sunday morning music." Lucky guy got to sit and listen to my brother play the piano.  He and my mom are so talented with that! 

 Brady didn't take any picture while there (what?! haha) but his mom sent me a couple.  Dylen and Cheyanna look absolutely perfect and we are so happy for them!

June and the 4th of July

Once Saturday morning we decided to try out a new donut shop that is all the way down on campus in Norman.  People always talk about this donut shop and how good it is.  I thought they were really good, but I don't think it is worth the drive every Saturday.  Kolton liked all the weird names.  The donut he got was called "Slim Shady." I got one that was like a cosmic brownie.  

 The night before that, Brady and I went out for my birthday.  We went to Ghengis Grill for dinner and then went shopping for me to spend my birthday money and some of my mother's day gift cards.  I absolutely love the skirt I got.  It is incredibly comfortable and I think it is super cute.  

 Morning time is cuddle time.  :) These two boys are so cute together.  

 On the 8th Kolton got his soccer trophy.  They won first place in their division and were undefeated.  He was pretty excited about it.  

 That evening Kolton had his first basketball game of the summer season.  He did awesome as always and it was a blast to watch him.  He was super nervous before the game but once he got out there he opened up and had a good time! He was also excited about his arm sleeve he asked Brady to get him.  He thought he looked pretty cool out there with it.  

 Someone posted this picture of my family on Facebook and I had to save it.  Haha.  This was in like 1992 so I'm about 7 years old.  

 After Kolton's game he was exhausted so we laid in the bed together and watched some shows before we put Kolton and Bentley to bed.  :) 

 I woke up on the 9th with a super watery, itchy eye.  I was on the phone with Brady and I felt like something was in my eye so I kept trying to get it out.  Finally I went to the bathroom mirror and say this bubble thing.  I thought it was something that got in my eye so I tried to grab it out and when I did I quickly realized that it was part of my eye! Haha.  It hurt quite a bit when I tried to pull it out.  This eye blister thing made it hard for me to see because it felt like I was looking through teary eyes all day and I couldn't look down all the way without it getting in the way.  It was so gross.  I got off the phone with Brady and then a few minutes later he called me back and told me I had to go to the ER asap.  He said he looked it up online and it said I could lose my vision if I didn't get it cut off right away.  I started panicking wondering what I would do with the kids and how it would feel and what if I did lose my vision etc.  He then started laughing and said he was just kidding and I'll be fine.  I did some research and felt a little better about it.  I guess they just come and go but once you get one you are more susceptible to get more.  Mine ended up being gone by the next morning, thankfully.  I put eye drops in my eyes (by myself I might add haha) to keep it moist and not itchy.  I hope I don't get another one for a long time! 

On the 11th we had Andrew over.  We had gone to the splash pad with the Himes and when it was time to go the boys weren't ready to be done playing so Andrew came home with us.  They played outside most of the time and had a blast riding the scooter through the sprinkler.  

On Saturday, the 13th, we went to watch Brady play soccer.  It was hilarious to watch as Bentley walked around because he had three little girls following him.  Haha.  

 On the 15th the Himes closed on their house and so they came to stay with us.  Early that morning they brought stuff over to our house and then they left their kids at our house while they went to go sign the papers.  Then when they got back we walked to the park to let the kids play.  It ended up starting to rain on us so we had to go home and strip all the kids because they were wet and muddy.  We then grilled up some chicken and then headed to Kolton's basketball game.  

 The Himes stayed with us until Wednesday or Thursday.  The kids had a blast playing all day every day.  Kolton got quite the cut on his ankle that bled and bled.  He thought that was pretty cool.

 My grandparents celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in June.  I loved this picture my aunt posted of them on their wedding day.  

 Bentley has been growing out of his clothes lately so Brady and I went to go buy him a few things.  We bought him a couple pair of shorts and then a few shirts.  We found everything on clearance which was awesome! He also got a new pair of shoes and he just looks so cute in all of it! 

 I got a Pina Colada julius from Dairy Queen and Bentley loves it! He was so happy when I let him sit down and drink as much as he wanted.  

 On the 20th, Brady and Kolton went to the car races in Noble.  They were gone from like 2:00 until 12:30! Kolton was exhausted but had an absolute blast! He loved watching all the cars racing and everything.  

 We figured out that Bentley is most definitely allergic to apple juice.  Everytime we give it to him he breaks out in these hives.  He can eat apples and he can drink other juices so I'm not quite sure what it is about the apple juice that makes him break out but we are positive that is what it is.  It is so weird! 

 On the 21st we celebrated Father's Day, Brady's birthday, and Brady's dad's birthday all in the same day.  It was funny as Grandpa was opening his presents he had all the boys around him.  

 These two cannot take a serious picture...I swear.  Every year it looks something like this.  

 For Father's Day we got Brady a VivoFit made by Garmin.  Brady loves keeping track of his steps and his sleep patterns.  We made him breakfast burritos for breakfast and let him sleep in.  We tried to spoil him throughout the day and make him feel super special.  We are so grateful for him in our lives and love him dearly. 

On Monday, June 22nd, Bentley got his very first haircut.  At 19 months old.  Haha.  And really all he needed was for the back of his hair to be trimmed so it wasn't so long.  He did awesome and loved his sucker he got to have first thing in the morning.  :)  

 The Himes came back from their trip to Nauvoo and stayed with us from Monday evening until Thursday evening.  Monday evening Kolton had two games and the Beans came to watch him.  He thought that was super cool.  The second game we played a team that was actually pretty good but were still able to win. I  love watching Kolton play a team that pushes him to be better.  The first game he had 18 points, 4 assists, 2 blocks, and 13 rebounds.  The second game he had 26 points, 2 assists, 7 blocks, and 18 rebounds.  He was awesome! Unfortunately on Tuesday night Kolton woke up with a stomach ache. I had heard him whining but just thought he was having a bad dream.  But then he said my name so I got up and he said his stomach hurt.  I went to the bathroom with him and he ended up throwing up.  He laid around almost all day Wednesday but by the evening would get up and play some so that was good.  Wednesday night Brady started feeling bad.  We watched the Himes kids while Mark and Jill went to Mark's roast and while they were gone Brady threw up once.  Then he threw up one more time later that evening.  Luckily myself nor Bentley ever got it so that was good! 

The Himes left Thursday evening to go to Cassidy Lundberg's house for a few days.  I told her that they couldn't stay with us the whole week because I had camp the next week and just needed time and space to get a few things done.  Friday morning we went swimming at the Storey's pool and then we met Brady for lunch.  Then that evening we met Brady up at his work and headed to Whitewater as a family.  That was seriously a blast.  We had such a good time.  By the end of the night we were able to get Bentley to enjoy the water and have a good time so that was great too! 

Monday morning I left for camp.  I was so excited to go and so sad to leave.  Haha.  I was just really nervous about how Bentley would do with it.  But everything worked out with Bentley and girls camp turned out to be awesome! Everyone loved it and had an absolute blast! We did so many fun things and had the best group of girls and leaders there.  It was awesome! I'm so glad I was able to plan the camp and spend the week with the girls.  

 I got home Thursday evening so on Friday I just laid around and relaxed.  Haha.  The Widdisons came and picked Kolton up and took him to the Sam Noble museum in Norman to let me have some time to relax while Bentley napped so that was really nice.  

 This is Bentley's first selfie.  :)  He did it all by himself.  Haha.  He also learned how to say "I love you." It is the cutest thing and I just love it! He has gotten a lot better at talking lately and will actually repeat a similar noise to the one you are making when you tell him to say something instead of making some random noise.  He will say more, thank you, juice, bite, bubba, mama, dada, please, shoes, socks, bye, hi, turn, head, hug, woah, baby, water, bath, yeah, no, stop, don't, ow, outside, jump, binkie.

 The 4th of July we watched Brady play soccer.  hen we had his family over for a bbq (it was supposed to be at his parents house but their sink broke so it was moved to our house).  After that we left to go see Inside Out at the Warren.  Bentley loved it and thought it was so neat.  Unfortunately he was too loud with his saying of "woah" over and over so I had to take him out.  Haha.  

 We went to the Widdison's right afterthe movie for another bbq.  There were a few families there and it was really fun!

 This was yesterday morning.  Bentley looked so cute sitting there eating toast, singing along to his show.  

 Later that morning we went to the museum with Vanessa and her kids and Brady's mom (who was babysitting Jaycee's kids).  Kolton loved showing me all the things he had seen on Friday with the Widdisons.  

It has been a good month!
