Play, Play, Play

Kolton has been able to play with a lot of friends this week! I think every day this week he has either gone to someone's house or had someone come over here to play! He's gotten to the point now where he almost expects to have someone come over so he can have someone to play with. It makes me laugh!
We went to playgroup this week up in Edmond ON Tucker's birthday! Kolton had a lot of fun until it was time for Tucker to open his presents and then he had a few meltdowns...Tell me if I'm wrong and crazy for making my child do this, but I wouldn't let him touch Tucker's presents after he opened each one. He especially wanted the one we bought for him, well, because, he picked it out! He just didn't understand why I wouldn't let him touch them...He needs to go to more birthday parties I guess. ;)
He absolutely adored Brigham! Oh my goodness! He saw Brittney holding him and walked right over and tried to get on her lap so he could hug and kiss on him. He had to have his arm around him and would look at him with this sweet little face that was so endearing. I thought it was so precious! He even tried to take him from Brittney so he could hold him. :) (Side note, if you look very closely at Kolton's forehead right above his left eye you'll notice a huge goose egg. After only being there about 5 or so minutes he tripped and fell and whacked his head right into the door frame and got a ginormous bruise and bump! You can hardly see it now, but it looked BAD Tuesday.)
The boys had a balloon fight. It was great fun!

We watched Kade Tuesday night while Brittney and Sterling went to go see Avatar. At one point we put on a movie and they boys laid down and watched it together. I thought it was funny! They are the best of friends. Kolton loves to play basketball with Kade or "deede" as he says it. ;) Lucky for him Kade now recognizes that Kolton is trying to say "Kade" and responds to it now.

After playing on Wednesday afternoon for quite a while, I walk in to this. Making a huge disaster in your room apparently makes you very tired! I mean seriously, look at all those toys all over the place! Crazy kid!

This is the beginning of Ice Storm 2010. Hopefully we keep power! We haven't had any problems yet, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Stuff like this can be so much fun cause you just get to hang around inside the whole time, but when you have as many dogs as we do it can be super annoying too! ;)

Hunting

This weekend Brady, Sterling, and Brenon Farmer headed to Guymon, OK to do some pheasant hunting. Kolton and I hung out here and Brittney and Kade joined us for most of the weekend.
Kolton was pretty tired this weekend. He got to play too much so when he would lay down, he was exhausted! ;)
The poor guy isn't allowed to sit on his train table so I'll often find him just standing in the middle of his room watching a movie. Doesn't seem very comfortable or relaxing to me...Anyway, I was cleaning up his closet (that's where his books are so its gets messy pretty quick!) I found this newborn lounger. I threw it down and he sat his little bum right on it. He looked so cute sitting there I had to take a picture!

I love how he always crosses his feet! Its so freaking cute! ;) We later tweaked it and put a pillow behind him so he could lean his head back without having to put it on the hard table, but he loved it!

Here are some pictures of the birds Brady shot. The first day he didn't hit anything. In fact he only pulled the trigger 4 times in about 8 hours. The second day, though, he hit 3. He was excited! Both him and Sterling hit the first bird so I guess maybe you could say he got 2 1/2, but the other two he hit all by himself! ;) Brenon has a German Shorthaired Pointer and Brady was impressed by Boomer's just natural instincts to find them for them.

While they were hunting Kolton and I went to the mall, Hobby Lobby, the park with Kristie and her kids and Brittney and Kade, went to Furr's for dinner with the Farmers and Foys, watched Invention of Lying, American Idol and the Office (btw-I miss the old Office episodes! They were so much funnier then they are now). We had a good time but are so glad Brady is back!!

I'm back!

Well, sort off...I've been so busy lately working on the blog book that I haven't blogged in almost 2 weeks which is crazy for me! Unfortunately, though, I don't really have all that much to blog about either... :)
The other night Brittney and I went shopping and all the boys hung out at our place. Apparently the two little boys were being hilarious and having quite a fun time with each other! They made an absolute disaster of Kolton's room! It was awesome!
Yesterday afternoon/evening we went to the park because it was beautiful outside! Everyone in Moore came to the park too! :) It was packed! I've never seen that many people at the park at one time! Kolton had a blast and keeps asking to go back. I know what we'll be doing this spring and summer!


Grandpa came to visit last night after dinner. He brought some dessert and a new toy for Kolton! What a lucky kid this is! Kolton and Grandpa picked up where they left off in Utah and played and played together. Kolton loved playing with him and showing him all his toys!


He even snuggled up to him to watch the basketball game! He was treated to a neck tickle by Grandpa which he loves!
We had fun and were glad he could come to visit for a couple of hours! Hopefully the next two weeks come with a little more excitement!

Butter Face

Kolton loves to eat bread and butter with dinner. Usually we have rolls and we'll break it in half and put a little butter on it and he'll lick the butter off and then eat the roll. Sounds yummy, I know. ;) On Sunday, though, we had a Rhode's loaf of bread with dinner. He of course wanted butter on it and in the process of licking it all off got a little dirty and ended up looking a little something like this:
He also wouldn't call it bread. When we eat bread with dinner its called a roll--that's it. A roll. No room for discussion. Its not bread--its a roll. If he eats bread for a snack or at lunch or breakfast its bread, but at dinner its a roll. :)

Yesterday he was obsessed with stacking his trucks. He got three new big trucks for his birthday/Christmas and he loves them! There were several times when the trucks would fall, but he kept working at it and got them to stay stacked several times too! It was actually a little hard because they aren't flat on top so you'd have to position them just right.


Look how proud he is! ;) When they'd fall he'd say "Ooots! Try again!" Makes me laugh! I would correct him and say "oops" but he'd just go right back to saying "ooots." That's OK with me, though! Lately he's been losing a lot of his baby words! He no longer says kah for drink--now its dink. Not perfect, but much closer to the actual word! There are a couple others that he's changed in just the last week or two. Its crazy!
I ordered my 2008 blog book the other day and am so excited to get it! It only took me FOREVER to actually finish it! I've already started on 2009, though, so I should get that one done much sooner!
Today, I also bought tickets for Kolton and I to head out to Utah February 18-25 to see my brother off for his mission. It stinks Kolton is 2 now and has to have a ticket but luckily I have generous parents! ;) I am so excited and Brady is so jealous. I wish he could go but with school and work its hard. Anyway, I'm excited! We really are lucky to see my family as much as we do.

December 29: Kolton's 2nd Birthday

We celebrated Kolton's 2nd birthday this year. He had such a blast!

I had an errand to run that day so we got ready early and headed out.

After we finished with that we went to Mazzio's to eat lunch. It was a late lunch and Kolton was HUNGRY!

This little guy ate 3 pieces of pizza, salad, and 3 or 4 of those cinnamon sticks. I couldn't believe it! He just kept asking for more and more!

He made sure his hands were kept clean the whole time. We went through a LOT of napkins. He also kept saying "TOUCHDOWN" and putting his arms up. He was happy to have lots of yummy food! He loves pizza, so Mazzios was a good place to go for a special lunch for a 2 year old!

After lunch we went to Jumpzone. This was our first time to go there and he L-O-V-E-D it! I'm so glad we went. He was not ready to leave that place after over and hour and a half of playing! He would just run from thing to thing all excited. Well, actually, he'd skip from thing to thing. ;) We had to take him up every one, though, because he isn't old enough to get up there on his own, so Brady and I were tired come the end! Just look at how excited he is to be jumping!




After Jumpzone we came home and opened presents. He's come to love opening presents now! :)

After presents, Brady and Kolton snuck some of the cupcake batter. I guess Kolton was sticking his whole hand in the bowl trying to get as much as he could!

He really enjoyed eating the frosting off of the cupcake. He was too cute! We had a great time spending the day as a family and making it fun and special for Kolton! He did a lot better blowing out the candles this time too! He got one by himself and one with Dad's help!

CHRISTMAS 2009!!

Finally I'm posting about Christmas! Christmas was fun this year. Kolton was able to kind of understand the idea of presents and that its exciting. We had been telling him for this whole Christmas season that we are celebrating Jesus' birthday and that Santa comes and brings you presents. The poor kid was confused, though. He kept asking when Jesus was going to come to his birthday. The innocence of little kids is so precious.
We ended up staying the night at Brady's parents house. On Christmas Eve we each opened up a present (well, Kolton opened up more than one because he's spoiled!). Brady and I both got pajamas, which neither of us ended up wearing Christmas Eve. Kolton opened up pajamas and a really cool and nice (according to Kolton) "Cars" blanket from Grandma Moffett. Grandma Brammer then wanted Kolton to open up one of the presents from her-a Woody toy from Toy Story.
He loves this blanket! He sleeps with it and about every night when he gets to bed he shows me his Cars blanket with Lightning McQueen on it! :) That night he kept laying on it saying "nice!" over and over. He loves that thing!
When he opened the Woody toy he didn't know what it was (he hadn't seen Toy Story ever) but Santa gave him the Toy Story DVD and since then has loved his Woody and Buzz toys!
Opening presents on Christmas Eve. I video taped him opening the blanket, so I don't have any pictures and the video won't upload on here but it cracks me up! While I was video taping him opening the blanket he kept looking at the camera and saying "cheeeeese" and then would wait for the picture to be taken so I'd just have to tell him that its ok, we got it now open your present. :)

*******CHRISTMAS MORNING*******

At about 1:00 in the morning Kolton woke up and so we brought him in to bed with us. He laid there for a minute or two and then sat up really fast and said "Santa come? Presents?" We had to tell him that he hadn't come yet and to go back to sleep. I was surprised he actually understood that concept just a little bit. I guess at 3:00 Brady heard people out in the living room so he went out there and Dylen and Madison were checking out what Santa brought them. Their mom joined them out there and then they all went to bed but Brady stayed up and kept the fire going. He went out in the blizzard and got firewood all the way down at the fence and brought it up and kept adding more wood to the fire so we'd all be warm. He came and woke us up at 6:00 or 6:30 to open presents. He's still a little kid at heart! ;)

The first thing he went to go check out was the car track Santa brought him. We didn't know if Kolton would really enjoy or appreciate the car track at this age, but he loved it! I'm glad Santa brought it to him! It eats batteries though, like no ones business! In 2 days it went through 3 D batteries. A few of the stands have broken on it too so we are going to have to figure out what we can use to hold all the different sections up. While waiting in between presents, he kept going back to the car track. Definitely a big hit!


My brother, Derek, got Kolton a "Cars" tent. Kolton thinks its pretty cool to sit in that thing! I love that it has all the main characters on it! Look how happy he is when just a little piece of wrapping paper missing reveals the "Cars" present...

Santa brought Kolton 3 movies: Lion King, Toy Story, and the Incredibles. He also got train movies from Grandma and Grandpa Moffett. He loves movies! He's not a TV vegetable though--he plays a TON still, but when he wants to settle down or something, he loves to watch movies!



We had a good Christmas! Brady made me this awesome present. Check it out!
He mod-podged scrapbook paper and pictures on to this metal wall hanging. He also made the "LOVE" himself too. I'm impressed! It now hangs over our computer in the living room. He is so thoughtful and never disappoints with his present giving! I also got this awesome new perfume! I love it! I'd list everything we all got but I can't ever remember and it doesn't really matter, does it? I do wish I would have remembered to take a picture of us with all our presents--we do it every year, but it slipped my mind. I am glad though that we had a fun Christmas and that we are blessed with such a wonderful family. Having kids just makes Christmas that much more fun! Can't wait to spoil Lillian too! :)
