Kolton can Clap!!!

Today, which happens to be Kolton's 8 month birthday, I was feeding him lunch. All of a sudden he just starts clapping. He's never done anything to resemble clapping before so it was funny to me that out of the blue he started clapping. He thought it was pretty fun!

I wish I had pictures to show, but Kolton now has 4 teeth! I can't believe it. He had one tooth for the longest time and then in the past 2 1/2 weeks he has gotten three more! He now has both his top and bottom front two teeth! So cute!

Boy or Girl?

Yesterday Brittney and I went to JCPenny's with our children. We were looking at shoes when this sale's lady came up to me and said, "How old is she?" referring to Kolton. Now, I know that it is really hard to tell what sex babies are so I wasn't offended or anything and didn't want to embarrass her so I just said, "Almost 8 months." Then she said, "She sure is little for her age, isn't she?" I then replied, "Actually he is really big for his age," hoping she would catch on to the fact that I said "he." Well, I think she realized he was a boy and felt silly and so proceeded to provide an explanation for her wrongful assumption. It was fine and no big deal until she later came up to us again and said, "Well isn't he a handsome little devil!" WHAT? How can you say you think he is handsome when you just called him a girl? Come on...Then she asked me if everyone says he is small for his age and looks like a girl. I was then frustrated so I firmly said "No. Everyone thinks he is a boy and everyone thinks he is big for his age." So, you tell me...I've always thought he looked like a boy but does he look like a girl in this outfit? I mean I can see how his shirt might confuse you with "Chicks dig me" written on it...haha.

Sleeping Baby

I've always wanted to take a picture or two of Kolton sleeping but never wanted to wake him up. This morning, however, he was still sleeping and it was time for me to go walking so I decided to snap a few shots before waking him up. He's so sweet looking (minus all the scratches he gives himself!).

Also, I don't have any pictures of it yet, but he got another tooth! Yay! It is his front right tooth! His other front tooth is trying to come in but hasn't quite broken through yet. He is so big! Three teeth already with a fourth on the way!

Kolton's Accident

Last night Kolton helped Brady and I mow the lawn (which hadn't been done in a very long time!) and so after we were done I thought it would be a good idea to give Kolton a bath. So, I ran some bath water, got him undressed, got his towel and toys and put him in the bathtub. He immediately decided he needed to stand and pulled himself up on the bathtub. Afterwhich, he had his "accident." I never thought my child would do this (nor did I think I would take pictures), but it just made me laugh! Oh the joys of babyhood! (And guess who had to clean it all up...)

Learning to Stand

So, lately Kolton has been going crazy wanting to stand. Every time I put him down he tries to pull himself up. His favorite place to stand is at the bath tub. It is so cute. He gets so excited each time he pulls himself up as if it was the first time all over again! It is so funny how kids just grow up. All of a sudden they are no longer content with just sitting; they want to stand and walk and explore more and more things. It is fun to watch him as he grows and develops. No one said being a mom would be this fun!

Cotton Candy Anyone?

On Thursday we went to the REDHAWKS GAME with Brady's family and friends. It was so much fun! Kolton had a BLAST! He just Squealed and Squealed the whole time!

It was all you can eat and drink, so we decided to get a bag of Cotton Candy. Grandma Brammer thought it would be fun to give Kolton a TASTE. He was so cute! His little MOUTH turned blue, which was adorable! He is such a fun baby and Brady and I always have a blast with him!
