Happy Thanksgiving!

We went to the Zoo on Wednesday. This was Kolton's first time to go to the zoo. I took TONS of pictures, so I am putting a bunch on a page. He really liked the monkeys, fish, and ducks. He was fun to watch. He really did get excited about it! We had a lot of fun! We went with Jeff and Vanessa and their sons, London and Pierson, who are visiting from Utah.

So, we tried to get him to take a picture on the goose thing and he just wouldn't have it. The things us parents force our children to do...
Here are some pictures of Kolton looking at the monkeys and gorillas and whatnot.
Looking at the fish and sea lions. He really liked the pretty colors of the fish.
And this is how it ended...

Our week

Well, I wish I had a copy of my senior picture to post, but I don't. Maybe I'll email my mom and see if she can't send one to me...
Anyway, this week went down a little something like this...
First, on Sunday Kolton started acting a little sick...like he had a cold.
Then Monday he had a fever and it just stayed there. It was running at or a little over 102. I thought it was related to the cold.
Then my dad came to town for work and came over to visit for a couple of nights. Kolton had a lot of fun playing with him! It was cute to watch!

Then on Wednesday I was tired of his fever and so I called the doctor and made an appointment for that morning. We went and he had an ear infection so they gave us a prescription for amoxacilin. We started him on that on Wednesday afternoon.

Then yesterday he broke out in a rash and wouldn't drink hardly anything or eat much the whole day. So, I called the doctor's office and the nurse told me I needed to take him to the Emergency Room at Children's Hospital to have him checked to make sure he wasn't dehydrated and figure out what his rash was from. So, Brady and I took him up there and sat there for...ummm...3 hours for them to tell us he has Rosiola and it isn't serious or contagious. They did switch his prescription to something else, though, incase he was having an allergic reaction to the amoxacilin. But, they were positive that if it wasn't an allergic reaction, then it was Rosiola. So, the poor guy has an ear infection and rosioloa (which pretty much is a rash that comes on after having a fever). Good news is he can only get it once! :)
Oh, and Brady brought home candy and the lucky boy got to have a few tastes of a sucker!

Some of our family pictures

My sister-in-law, Vanessa, told me about this really easy scrapbooking site, http://www.scrapblog.com/. Anyway, I have been trying to use it and thought I would make a book of our family pictures we had taken. These are just the pages I have finished.

Playing with Kade

About 2 years ago Brady and I met Brittney and Sterling. They moved here so that Sterling could attend OU Dental School. We had them over for dinner one Sunday night and ever since then we have been friends! That Christmas we drove to Utah to visit my family. The Foys rode with us on the way back and that is when our friendship really grew. This is the trip where we had to sleep on the interstate and didn't move a single inch for 16 hours. It was ridiculous! Anyway, now that both of us have children and stay at home Brittney and I get to hang out a lot more and let our kids play with each other. Well, really, Kolton just attacks Kade (in a loving way) but hopefully soon they'll be able to enjoy each other more! :) We are so glad to have such awesome friends and we are going to make sure our sons are friends too!

Hmmm...

We ususally keep the toilet paper out of Kolton's reach, but apparantely yesterday morning someone forgot and so Kolton decided it would be a good idea to load it all into the tub. Fun! :)

Fall Photos at the Baileys

One day this week Brittney and I went to the Bailey's house to take some pictures. They have a bunch of cute pumpkins and gourds and Indian corn that they said we could use to take pictures of our kids. We were out running errands over by there and thought we would stop by and take some photos. Kolton wasn't exactly in the mood to take pictures...all he wanted to do was play with a baseball he found in their backyard, but they still turned out pretty cute. It was so nice of them to let us come by and do that!

"Look what I found Mom!"

"My pumpkin!"

"Dare me to climb over it?"

"Hi."

"He's my friend..."

"AAAHHHHH!"

"What is this??"

"Hi Mom!"

Teeth Brushing

Kolton got his 5th tooth yesterday! YAY! I thought that would make him sleep better...NOT! Hopefully tonight, though! It is so fun he is getting teeth! I love his cheesy smile!
He loves to get his teeth brushed! Anytime he sees any one else brushing their teeth he gets excited because he knows he is next. Once you walk into the bathroom he starts reaching for the medicine cabinet. This is one of the only times he will sit still for you--while the teeth are being brushed. I'm glad he likes it though! I just hope it continues as he gets older!

Oh, I almost forgot! One of the most exciting things today is that Brady was able to put his 2 weeks notice in at the bank! YAY! No more working for BancFirst. Instead, in a couple of week he will be working for his dad! I'm so excited! I think this will make Brady a lot happier (he won't have to deal with all the girl drama at work...but then again, what will we talk about during dinner??) I'm pretty excited! We are so grateful!
