Crazy Busy Time!

Saturday, October 5th, Kolton had a soccer game.  He did AMAZING! He scored 7 goals! His team ended up winning 10-7 over a team that beat them pretty good last year.  It was awesome. 

On Sunday evening Kolton and I made snickerdoodles.  I really wanted something sweet and this is what we had ingredients for so that is what we made.  :) Kolton loves to roll the dough in to balls and roll it in the sugar/cinnamon mixture.  He's pretty good at it. 

On October 7th I went to Angela's and had her do my hair.  It had been since April and I really needed it done but I wanted to wait long enough to where it would still look good when I had the baby.  :) That afternoon we had the heater guy coming to look at the heater (as required by our inspection).  He recommended we replace it so we spent a ton of money and got a new one that was supposed to be installed the next day. 

The heater guys came in the morning and installed the heater in a couple of hours.  That afternoon I drove by our lot and saw that they had started the framing on our house! It was exciting to see! 

That night was Madison's senior night for volleyball.  Kolton and I went but Brady had to miss it since he had school.  It was fun to watch her at her last home game of her volleyball career.  

On the 9th Kolton came home with a can of pop from his teacher.  He had passed off all of his sight words in class that day! And he was the only one in his class to do it! He's such a smart boy.  I just love him.  His teacher just moved him to the back of the line at school because she said "I can trust you to make good choices when I'm not looking."  She said she needed to move another boy to the front so she could watch him because he wasn't being good in the back of the line.  Kolton is such a stud. 

My dad was in town that day and came to visit in the evening.  Kolton couldn't wait for him to come.  

On Saturday, the 12th, Kolton had a soccer game.  He scored 4 or 5 goals (I couldn't remember).  He also blocked a goal right before it crossed the line.  It was awesome.  Right after that game was a birthday party for Ethan at the park right next to the game fields.  It was great! We just headed over and hung out for a while while the kids played.  Then that afternoon we went and picked up a few things for the baby and then that night went to Liz and Adam Smith's for a cookout.  They cooked a pig underground and had a bunch of people over to eat it.  It was fun! They also projected the BYU game up on a blanket for everyone to watch.  Kolton had a lot of fun running all around with the kids. 

On Sunday, October 13th, Jeff blessed Esme so we went to church with them.  We then went to their home afterwards for a birthday dinner for Pierson. 

Brady was singing "kumbaya my Lord" randomly one day after work.  Kolton told him "Its 'my horn' not 'my lord'."  Brady said no, its "Lord" to which Kolton said "But Lord is our savior Jesus Christ." It was cute.  :)

Brady also got me pretty good one afternoon.  My phone started ringing and it was a number I didn't recognize but I answered anyway.  Some guy was on the other end and was accusing me of hitting his car and leaving my number on his windshield.  I kept telling him it wasn't me and he kept yelling at me saying that I did it and he needed to know my insurance company etc.  I was so mad that someone would write my number down when they hit his car.  I was in the middle of texting Brady to tell him what happened when he started calling me from work.  He asked me if I had gotten in a wreck because our insurance company just called him and said that someone said I hit them.  I started freaking out.  He then started laughing and admitted to pranking me.  He used some program on the computer that you can have make a prank call and then they record it and you can download it and listen to it.  Everyone at his work had a good time listening to me as I talked to the guy on the phone.  Haha.  Oh Brady.  I love him.  :) He makes life fun and interesting.  :)  

Monday morning I went to the JBF consignment sale but I couldn't find anything I liked.  Unfortunately now the first day it is open to the public is on Sunday so everything was pretty picked through by the time I got to go on Monday.  I did head to Target, though, and bought some pacifiers for our little guy.  I'm determined to get him to like pacifiers.  :) 

Tuesday we had to take Missy in to get spayed.  Brady drove up with me to help me with her when we dropped her off and then Brady's dad followed me there to help me get her in the car and stuff when we went to pick her up so that I wouldn't have to pick her up or anything.  She was pretty out of it and didn't seem to comfortable but we didn't have any problems with her licking her stitches or anything.  We took her to the Oklahoma Humane Society Spay and Neuter Clinic and so it was WAY cheaper than at our vet.  Our vet was quoting us about $300 to get her spayed and there it was $80 (including extra pain medicine) so that was really nice. 

One of the things we had bought on Saturday was stuff to make burp rags for the baby.  Brady really wanted to make some for him.  He did awesome.  He made 10 all together.  Three of each of these fabrics and then one green one that Kolton picked out from the "scrap" fabric Joann's had.  Kolton helped Brady sew the fabric on the cloth diaper by pushing the pedal.  It was cute to watch.  I love them all and I think Brady did an amazing job.  

I worked on some packing while he sewed.  :) These were the first two boxes I packed (of many).

Tuesday Kolton got sick.  He had diarrhea and wasn't feeling too well.  He ended up being sick until Friday with really bad diarrhea and a fever.  One night it got up to over 104.  He finally got over it but missed all of his fall break because of it.  It was sad.  

I had a doctor's appointment on the 17th and scheduled my cerclage removal and my induction.  I was scheduled for my removal on the following Wednesday morning and the induction was scheduled for the 11th of November. 

Saturday Brady and his dad moved a lot of our stuff out of our house.  Jeff came and helped too because they couldn't get the fridge out by themselves.  We had taken apart our beds and so they took those (expect for the mattresses) and all the boxes I had packed and most of the furniture.  It was so weird!

Monday at school was "wear your favorite sport clothes" day for Red Ribbon Week.  Kolton chose to wear his Thunder jersey.  He was so handsome.  :)

So on Tuesday I got a phone call from my doctor's office wondering why I wasn't at the hospital for my cerclage removal.  I told them that it was supposed to be on Wednesday.  She said that they had to change it to Tuesday and she was pretty sure she told me.  I told her I hadn't heard anything so she said she'd talk to Dr. Miller and get back to me.  She ended up having to switch it to Thursday.  I was supposed to go to Chick Fil A with my friend Angela on Thursday so I texted her and told her I couldn't make it Thursday but could do Wednesday (the next day).  So on Wednesday I show up to Chick Fil A and realize that Angela and Lindsey had set up a little surprise baby celebration for me.  It was so sweet.  I felt bad for making them switch the day at the last minute and making them try and get ahold of everyone to let them know but was grateful to them for doing it.  Some people couldn't make it because of the day change but I'm so grateful for it all.  It was a lot of fun hanging out and chatting with the girls.  Jaycee was there too but she had left before we took this picture.  

So Thursday morning Brady and I went up to the hospital to get my cerclage out.  They just did it in labor and delivery.  I had to put on a hospital gown and everything.  It took a few minutes but it hurt like a mother.  Oh man.  It made me nauseous and I hated it.  Haha.  I was so glad to have it done! I don't know why I can't have a cerclage removal that goes well haha but at least it is done. Brady had taken the whole day off so he started moving stuff over to his parent's house that afternoon for us to move in.  I can't believe we are about to have this baby! So crazy! 

Shooting Range

Wednesday evening Kolton and I tagged along with Brady and some of his friends from work to go to a shooting range.  That afternoon I went and bought Kolton some ear muffs so that their guns wouldn't be too loud for him.  He thought they were pretty cool.  :)

 Kolton was so good while we were there and loved watching them shoot the guns.  He stayed behind the tables the whole time and was so good.  He got to shoot the 22 and loved that.  He went through a ton of bullets.  Haha.

 That afternoon Kolton went with the Himes to the zoo.  He had such a fun time! He brought home this flower for me and wanted me to keep it.  He started to get a vase out but I told him something smaller would be better.  So he got a cup and filled it half way with water and put the flower in there.  He put it on my bedside table and told me that way I could look at it whenever I'm in bed and I reach to get my phone.  Haha.  It was cute.  ;)

Thursday night was grandparents night at Kolton's school but Brady and I took him instead.  :) We went to the book fair and let him get a couple of books and then went to his classroom and he read us a book he made at school and showed us stuff in his class.  He thought it was so cool to show us around.  It was fun! I also got my LAST shot yesterday! Yay!! Can't believe I'm done with those! It is nice not to have to think about them anymore, though!

We've also received the findings from the house inspection.  Nothing too major on there! Yay! We already have some guys coming on Monday and Wednesday to do all the repairs and then we will be good to go.  Can't believe it! Then I need to start packing! Ahh! We've lived in this house for so long I don't know how I'm going to pack it.  :) Especially since we aren't moving directly in to our new house. So, I have to pack up what we need to take to Brady's parents house while we stay there and then pack up everything else to go to storage.  Fun fun! :)



STUDENT OF THE MONTH...Fair...Big Wheels Race...Pictures of Bentley

 

 On Thursday, the 12th of September, we went to one of Maddie's volleyball games.  Her team lost their first to sets but then came back and won the next three and so they won.  It was exciting. 

 Guess who got Student of the Month for September AGAIN this year? He is such a stud! They had an assembly on the 13th where they presented the awards to the kids. 

 Kolton was so surprised to see Brady there because Brady had told him he probably wouldn't be able to make it because of work.  It was cute when he saw him when he walked in! Each kid got a backpack with some stuff inside of it as their reward.  He thought that was pretty cool!

 After the presented the award to each kid from each class they let parents come up and take pictures of their kids and with Mr. Johnson, the new principal.

 Brady and I were so proud of him.  He is such a great kid.  He is just amazing and we are so lucky to have him as our son. 

On Saturday, the 14th, we had a busy day.  Kolton had a birthday party for his friend Andrew that morning at 9:00.  Andrew's dad ended up having to work late and so his mom asked if I would stay and help for a little bit and drive some of the kids to the skate park for the party.  So I went there with her and stayed until Mark got off work and met them there.  The kids had a blast riding around the skate park on their bikes and scooters.  It was fun to watch! Then, that afternoon Kolton had a soccer game.  He played hard and did well and just looked like a natural out there.  Then, that evening Brady's work had a bbq.  Kolton had a blast playing there on a bounce house they had and fishing and running around on the playground.  The president of the Moore division, Craig, helped Kolton fish and he caught a little fish after trying several times.  He was excited but once he caught it he was off to do other things.  :)

 Kolton lined up all his cars in different groups one day.  There was racecars, racecars with eyes, cars from the movie Cars that aren't racecars etc. 

 That night Brady was at school so Kolton and I made cookies for all of us.  Yummy yummy! Brady is in an accounting class right now and for the first time since he started going back to school he has been at school until nearly ending time.  Usually he'd leave at about 8:30 or so but in this class he is there until 9:45 or 10:00 so Tuesdays are really long for him. 

 On Wednesday, the 18th, Brady took a half day (since he had worked the Saturday before) and we went to the fair!!!  We took Andrew with us so that Kolton could have someone to ride the rides with.  I did it a lot last year with him but I couldn't this year so we thought that would be fun for him to have a buddy there.  They were so funny on the rides.  We did several of them more than once.  This cliffhanger ride was one of their favorites and I think they rode it 4 times.  Brady even joined them on it once. 

 We got lots of yummy food as expected at the fair! I love this root beer so we each got a jug.  It was yummy! :)

 Kolton loved this little play area they had and Brady and I enjoyed it because it was in an air conditioned building! Haha.  The boys were cute as they went from thing to thing. 

 We watched a couple of shows while we were there.  One of them was a firefighter show.  This was Andrew's favorite part.  We bought each of the boys a firefighter helmet (they were only $1) and they had fun wearing them.  They really enjoyed crawling through the smoky building at the end of the show too! :)

We stayed at the fair until about 7:30 or something like that and then we were totally ready to go home.  We had a good time, though.  I love doing things like that. 

Here is a picture of our house that evening. They had flattened out the dirt on the lot and dug the trenches and put up the framing for the foundation and whatnot.  It was cool to see that something was starting to be done on the lot!  

 On the 19th, Brady had to close the bank.  So, I went and bought a couple bags of candy and rented Now You See Me for us to watch and snack on when he came home so he could just relax.  It was a fun evening and the movie was pretty cool. 

 On Saturday, the 21st, Kolton had his Big Wheel's Race.  He did it last year and was excited to do it again this year.  Its totally free and super fun.  Last year it was raining so we had to do it inside but this year it was nice out and so everything was outside and so much nicer! There's free food and drinks and a couple of clowns that make balloons for the kids and paint their faces and cotton candy and bounce houses for the kids to play on and then you can get a free helmet too.  It is great. 

 Kolton was super excited to race and hoped to do better this year than last year.  Unfortunately he got a pretty lame bike that was super slow.  Different companies provide the big wheels and they decorate them to make them cool looking for the kids.  Kolton's was HUGE on the back and when he'd pedal his front wheel would sometimes just spin in place and the bike wouldn't go anywhere.  Haha.  He still had fun though and didn't really seem bothered that he got last.  :)

 On Monday, the 23rd, I had to go to the doctor to take my glucose test and get a rhogam shot. Ugh that stuff makes me feel so nauseous.  It probably doesn't help that you have to drink it on an empty stomach but I just don't like it.  I got a book from the library on the way there, though, and so that kept me busy for the hour I had to wait after I drank it.  Then that night I had a meeting at Kolton's school for the kindergarten parents.  Once it was over I went and talked to his teacher and asked that he not sit next to a boy named Sean Gregory in his class anymore.  Every single day Kolton was coming home telling me something mean Sean would do to him.  It was driving me crazy and I didn't want Kolton dealing with it anymore.  Thankfully the teacher obliged and moved Kolton to another table and he isn't getting bothered anymore so that is nice. 

I found out that my glucose screening came back normal (yay!) but I am anemic so I've had to start taking an iron supplement (on top of the iron that is in my prenatal vitamin) and a vitamin C supplement (just to help my body absorb the iron).  This, though, has helped my pounding heart and my feeling like I wasn't getting enough oxygen.  I guess those can be symptoms of anemia and so it has been so nice for that to get better!

 And now a belly shot from the 25th.  I was 32 weeks and 2 days.  That evening we took the Altima in to the shop to get it fixed from the damage it received in the tornado.  I wasn't looking forward to juggling our schedules with one car but I was excited for the dents and scratches to be fixed on the car!

 On Friday Kolton's school had a "Playdough Extravaganza" for the parents to take their kindergarten kids to.  You couldn't attend if your parent didn't take you.  Kolton was SO excited for me to be with him at school.  It was so cute.  When the kids came walking in the media center he was just walking down the isle looking for me on each side of the isle.  He finally saw me and his face lit and up and he came running and gave me a big hug.  I loved it.  It was so sweet!

They talked to us for a little bit about reading to our kids and how important it was and then they let us go to each of the stations and do the activities.  You got to make playdough, read, make your name with playdough on a mat, go fishing for letters etc.  There were 7 or 8 stations.  It was fun to go around to each of them with Kolton and work on them together. 

 Once you finished at the stations then you could go get a refreshment and pick out a book to take.  Kolton was too cute eating his cookie I had to take a picture.  :)

 Here's another picture of our house.  They finished the framing around it and have laid the vapor barrier and the mesh and put the bars in the trenches.  Cement should be poured soon. 

 On Saturday Kolton and I went grocery shopping after we dropped Brady off at work.  While I put away the groceries when we got home Kolton played outside in the rain.  :)  

That evening Brady went over to the Himes to babysit their kids while Jill and I went to the Relief Society broadcast and dinner.  It was fun chatting with everyone at dinner and then watching the broadcast.  They spoke to us a lot about caring for others around us and trying to bear another's burdens.  We were also reminded of the deep love our Heavenly Father has for us.  Afterwards we went to Braums to chat some more :) and then went home. 

On Sunday Kolton had his primary program.  He did AMAZING! He said his part perfect and so clear and smiled and everything! It was adorable! I love watching the primary program...especially now that Kolton is in it! We invited Kolton's basketball coach and his family to come watch it and they did.  It was great to have them there. 

Yesterday we had the inspection on our home.  It was at 3:00 and so we had to be out of the house by 2:00 incase the inspector came early which I guess a lot of times they do.  That morning I cleaned and got everything ready for that.  Brady had a half day and so he came home and then we left.  Brady's parents invited us to go to lunch with them so we went to the Olive Garden (Kolton's choice) and then from there we went to my doctor's appointment at the Perinatal Center.  Our little Bentley was so cute and is getting pretty chubby! They are estimating him to be 5 lbs 3 oz right now! Everything looked good but they do want to keep an eye on his weight.  His belly was measuring almost 2 weeks ahead!! Everything else was measuring about on but his belly was huge which I guess is usually what indicates a big baby.  Haha.  I kept going back and forth on whether or not I wanted to get induced on the 11th or wait until my due date on the 18th.  I think now I've decided I want to go in on the 11th. Haha. 

We got some good pictures of his face this time (when his foot wasn't in front of it :)).  It was great that Brady was able to come and see it this time!

Once done at the doctor we headed straight to Kolton's soccer practice.  Once we got home last night I was ready to lay down! It was a fun, long day!

Now I'm anxiously waiting the results from the inspection! :)
