{Puppies}

That is what our life has consisted of lately...puppies. ;) Weighing, changing collars, cleaning bedding, feeding, emailing people, updating websites and adds...constantly! They are such sweet puppies, though! And for 13 they are doing marvelously!! We can't believe it! They are 10 days old and are starting to do a wobbly walk! Its adorable! We've never had a litter this big, so its been different but surprisingly very positive! Kolton loves to go out and play with the puppies as often as he can!
Some things he's known to say right now are:
"What time is it?" He asks that AT LEAST 15 times a day! I'm not even kidding! Its so cute, though, because he has no concept of time but for some reason has become very interested in knowing what time it is. Then you'll ask him what time it is and he'll say "fourteen thirty ollcllock" (he draws out the "l"s) or something silly like that.
"Oh my freaking heavens dang it." He says this when he crashes his cars or drops a ball...
We have conversations like this all the time:
K: "Why you take your shoes off?"
Me: "My feet hurt."
K: "Why?"
Me: "Because I was standing on them for a long time."
K: "Why?"
Me: "Because I was watching you play at the park."
K: "Why?"
Me: "Because you wanted to play."
K: "Whhhyyyy?"
Me: "Just because Kolton. Just because..."
He is very much in the stage of asking "why" to everything. His little brain is just learning so much right now it's crazy!

Brady brought some balloons home from his work a few weeks ago for Kolton to play with. He had fun with them! He thought they were so big!

Kolton has started to make a habit out of this. He falls asleep after we eat dinner after church. I was cleaning up after dinner and came out and he had fallen asleep just sitting there. We usually have to wake him up because a 5:00 nap is no good for sleeping that night.

This is after Kolton helped me mow the lawn. :) He jumps on the trampoline while I mow the back yard and our trampoline gets everyone FILTHY when you jump on it. Then after jumping he helped push the mower with me and so by the time it was all said and done he looked a little something like this. :)

Here's a little picture of some of our puppies. Like I said before, there are 13! We put them up for sale on Thursday and sold one that night to a couple in North Carolina. They are so excited to have her! We look forward to seeing them grow!

We went to the park a few days ago. Kolton's favorite parts where the swing and the tire swing! Him and Pierson had A BLAST on the tire swing!! (Until Pierson starting feeling too dizzy... :)) I had them going really fast on that thing spinning and going round and round! It was awesome!

Kolton also got to ride the go-kart this week. He's so funny...he puts his hands up the whole time he is riding. It cracks me up. He'll have this serious look on his face the whole time with his hands up in the air.

Kolton also had his first day of "mommy preschool" this week. We are taking turns with Vanessa and Pierson every Tuesday learning a letter.

When I put his backpack on him he just lit up! All that was in there was his diapers and wipes but he was SO excited to go to school with his backpack on! Its from 9-1 and the boys have a little lesson on a letter and then get to play and eat lunch with each other and then are picked up in time to take a little nap! ;)

Here he is walking to their apartment.

Later he was excited to eat his after school snack of oreos and milk. :)
We are excited for him to do more! Its Saturday and he still remembers what an "A" is so that's progress! ;) This week it will be at our house and we'll learn about "B." Vanessa came up with the idea to make a photo book at the end of the alphabet so they can go back and look at it and remember all the letters and what they learned. Plus, they'll think its cool to have a book with them in it! ;)

Brady starts a new job this next week at Office Max in their corporate offices down in south Norman. He's going to be a Business Development Manager, which is pretty much what the people on The Office do, except he'll be selling more than papers and printers. We are excited for him to start this job! Its a normal 8-5 job with no nights and no weekends so that will be a nice change! He'll also get vacation time and holidays off so it will be great! We are already looking forward to his first holiday off--Labor Day! ;)

Wasp Sting

August 10, 2010, 4:50 p.m.
The following incident was reported:
2 year old boy, Kolton Brammer, was swimming in his cousin's pool. His father, Braiden, and uncle Jeff were doing cannon balls together. The aforementioned child was being held by his mother, Jennifer Brammer, when the child informed his mother of a pain near his arm.
This information was not accompanied by any screaming or outbursts. Mother checked the child's arm and found a wasp on his floatie.
Mother informed father of the wasp. Aunt Vanessa, uncle Jeff, and father Braiden tried hard to get the wasp off of the floatie. Screams began.
Parents searched the boy trying to find a sting. Finally the sting was located near the child's right armpit (see picture below). Kolton's screaming ceased after a minute. He rested on the side of the pool for 15 minutes. The child then jumped back in to the pool and continued swimming.

Follow-up:
Child calls out "bee" any time he sees a leaf, bug, fly etc. in the pool and swims away from it as fast as he can. Parents are working to remedy the situation.

A Week with Grandma

Wednesday, the 11th, my mom came to visit from Utah. Kolton was so excited for her to come and see all his toys! ;) He wanted to show her EVERYTHING and that he did!
We came home from the airport and he instantly wanted to show her all his cars and toys and balls in his room. He quickly convinced her to join him in a game of basketball! They would shoot at the same time and hopefully one of them would make it!
He showed her where her bed was and where the shower was. Every morning he'd bring her to the shower and tell her "You can use Kolton's towel. That's fine." He then would sit outside the door waiting for her to come out of the shower so she could play with him again! He followed her around constantly!
The next day he snuck in to her suitcase while she was showering and found a couple presents she brought for him. When she got out of the shower he ran in to her room and told her to look in her suitcase because he found something cool. It was funny!
One of the things she brought was some punch balls. They had fun playing with those together. She constantly had to keep blowing them up because the plug would come undone and they'd quickly deflate. He thought it was funny! ;)

Thursday morning we went to the splash pad so that hopefully it wouldn't be too hot. Wrong! It was hot and all the seats in the shade were taken! Soon, some people left, though and we were able to sit comfortably (after my mom got roped in to a 30 minute conversation with these two ladies telling her all about Oklahoma!).

Kolton loved being chased by Grandma all through the splash pad. He kept trying to get her wet...

And finally did with a big wet hug!

Then Daddy surprised us and came to the splash pad too. He too chased Kolton around...

And held him in all the water. :)

Friday night we went swimming with Jeff and Vanessa and their boys so that Grandma could see Kolton's sweet swimming moves. He showed her his spinning jump, his running jump, spinning in the water, swimming on his back, swimming under water (that was new that night--he'd hold his breath and swim with his face in the water) and many other tricks. His favorite of the night was me getting on Brady's shoulders and Kolton on mine and then we'd all fall down. :)

We also did a big train which was fun! All the boys were yelling as passionately as they could "chugga chugga! chugga chugga! choo choo!" I'm sure all the neighbors loved it! ;)

The other present she brought for Kolton was a Toy Story 3 matching game. He loved it! They played it over and over. His favorite to find was this little monster toy that is in Toy Story 3.

On Monday we went to Jumpzone! Kolton was so excited! We had told him on Saturday that we were going on Monday and so he kept telling us that after church day we were going to Jumpzone. And then Sunday night and Monday morning he kept saying that after we woke up, ate breakfast, took a shower and got dressed we were going to Jumpzone. He sure does like to repeat things over and over and over! ;)

Grandma let him play with the arcade games. He loved riding the horse and actually got to do it twice!!

That afternoon we went to the library to take back his old book and get some new ones. We were there for about an hour as he played with the toys and on the computer. He got really good towards the end really controlling the mouse smoothly. He was proud of himself. We also came home with 7 new books and 3 movies. In less than an hour after getting home Grandma had read all the books at least 2 times, some 3 times!

That night Grandma took us to Braums to get some ice cream! Kolton decided to try the cookies and cream ice cream! Yum!

Sharing ice cream...

Tuesday we went to go see Toy Story 3. We had to drive to Cinemark Tinseltown Theater up near the zoo because none of the theaters around us had it not in 3D and I was afraid Kolton wouldn't like wearing the glasses the whole time. I was impressed with the theater for only being $3 something a person. There were only a few other people in the theater so that was nice too!

Kolton watched the entire movie from start to finish! He got bored during the 20 minute previews but once the movie started he was in love! ;) He chowed down on popcorn and skittles too throughout the movie.

That night Grandma took us to McDonalds--Kolton's favorite place to eat! He even got up in the tube things and played! He never goes up there--he gets freaked out--but he did this time and loved it! He kept getting lost on his way to the blue slide, though, so we kept having to ask a little girl there to show him how to get there. I'm not kidding when I say he got lost at least 10 times! It was hilarious!

One thing that him and Grandma did while she was here was play cars! And play a lot!! If she wasn't reading to him or watching George, or blowing bubbles, or playing a game (get the picture!?), they were playing cars!

They also did lots of snuggling!

Sunday after church while dinner was cooking they sat down to read a book. He had laid his head down so Grandma asked if he was tired and he said no and then 10 seconds later he was out!

He liked watching all the videos she took of him. ;) This one is of him trying to put his shirt on. As you can see he never really did get it one correctly!

We had so much fun with Grandma! He wouldn't say good-bye to her when we dropped her off at the airport he was so upset to see her go. He just kept saying that he wanted to go on the airplane and go to Utah with Grandma. Luckily we get to go in October!! When we came home he went and got on her bed and said "I want Grandma be here." It was so cute! We are so glad she was able to come and spend a week with us! Kolton loved having a buddy to play with and do lots of fun things with! Thanks Grandma!
