On Saturday, the 17th, Brady went hog hunting with Mark. They left at like 3 or 4 in the morning and were gone until that afternoon. Unfortunately they didn't even see a hog. They saw tracks and stuff but no hogs. Kolton and I met Jill and her kids at the park/splash pad that morning to let the kids play and hang out.
That evening we went to Jeff and Vanessa's to celebrate London's 8th birthday.
Sunday, the 18th, was London's baptism. He asked Kolton to give the closing prayer. Kolton was pretty nervous to do it but he did awesome!! London also asked Brady to give the talk on baptism. Brady says I'm biased but I think he did awesome. He talked on London's level and talked to him very comfortably and conveyed all he needed to in the talk. It was neat to be able to see London get baptized. Our first nephew to reach the age of 8! There were also some amazing m&m cookies for refreshment afterwards. So yummy! :)
On the 20th Kolton got to have Andrew come over. They love to play in the dirt with their cars. Its so funny. Kolton loves to see the different tracks that different cars make. We told him we might think about making him a sandbox/area for him in the new house. We will see. He would love it, though! Right now he just has this little patch of dirt on the pavement out the back door. :)
Here I am 27 weeks and 2 days.
We also met with our realtor and listed our house that night. The people from our ward had stuff come up and decided to back out so we called Kendale the very night they told us that and set up an appointment with her. We wanted to have as much time as we could to sell our house and so we did it as fast we could.
On the 22nd I had another doctor's appointment and then I had to take our car to Norman to get an estimate for repairs. I had finally submitted a claim with our insurance for the damage that it got during the tornado.
On the 24th we went to Riley's birthday party (he was on Kolton's basketball team--the coach's son). It was a ninja turtle party and they had a piñata the size of the boys! It was huge! Kolton was the lucky one who ended up breaking it on his second turn.
Monday, the 26th, was Kolton's first soccer practice for the season. He was so super excited. He's lucky that there's only a couple week break between basketball and soccer each season. :)
Tuesday both Kolton and I had doctor's appointments. Kolton had been complaining about his ear again so I finally took him in and he had an ear infection in both ears (one was worse than the other, though). Then after his we stopped at the mall and I let him play for a little then we headed to Sonic and got ice cream and then went to my doctor's appointment at the Perinatal Center. Afterwards went to the park while Brady was at school.
Here's some pictures of our sweet baby. His name is Bentley, by the way. :) He didn't want to move his hands away from his face so the tech was having a hard time getting face shots of him but they are still cute. :)
August 30th there was no school as part of the Labor Day weekend so we took Andrew with us to go golfing and play at Andy Alligators. We went to Hey Dey to golf because they are still free there and they had so much fun. It is an 18 hole course and I was super swollen by the end but they had a blast. I was excited to head to Andy Alligators where we'd be inside in the air conditioning. :)
August 31st was the first OU game. It was on PPV for $50 so we weren't going to be able to watch it but then Brady's dad got 4 tickets so Brady got to go to it! He, Jeff, his dad, and Mark headed to the game around 4:30. The Himes had been at our house to watch football and stuff and so Jill stayed for a while before heading home to put the kids to bed. I kept up with the OU game online reading posts from people so I could know the score. It was SUPER hot that day. Like over 100 and there was no breeze in the stadium. Poor Brady was soaked by the time he got home from sweating so much. He enjoyed being there, though, aside from the heat. I was pretty jealous, though, I must say. Haha. It wouldn't have been good for me, though, to be there. :)
On the 1st of September Vanessa was induced to have Esme. I rode up to the hospital with Jaycee and Brady's mom at around 11:30 or so to be there. It was great to see her come in to the world. She was tiny! Brady and Kolton came up that afternoon to see her and then took me home.
Monday was Labor Day so Brady had the day off! Love it!! We went to Penn Square Mall, Babies R Us, and to Bass Pro. We also stopped by the hospital to see Jeff and Vanessa and Esme again. We also took Kolton to the room he was born in and took a picture of him in front of it. Kind of cool. :) That night was my friend's birthday party, Liz Smith. We went to her mom's house (her house still isn't fully repaired from the tornado) and ate bbq food and hung out. They started up a game of kickball but I just cheered from the sidelines. ;) Kolton was SUPER nervous to play but ended up having a good time. There were a few families there and we had a good time. They also had cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory there and that was so good! We stayed until a little after 9 and then headed home. It was a fun day!
Oh I love these boys and I love Sunday naps together as a family! :)
On average we have like 4-5 showings a week on our house. I swear every Tuesday evening we have one so Kolton and I have to leave. We have gone to the library every Tuesday for the past month or so. Kolton enjoys playing there and getting new books and movies each week so it works out great.
