Easter!! Bentley can sit!

We hardly can ever do tummy time with Bentley because he just is not a fan.  I did try and snap some pictures of him, though, while he was enjoying it for a minute.  :)

 Seriously, look at that cutie!!

April 12th we went to the city of Moore's Easter egg hunt. We got there a few minutes before it started and were supposed to meet the Himes there.  Jill ended up getting stuck in traffic and didn't get there in time because all the candy is gone in about 3 minutes time so there isn't any leeway.
Kolton was geered up and ready to go! :)

Seriously he got so much candy! His basket was FULL! He ended up giving some to some girls that we saw as we walked out that had arrived late and were sad they didn't get to participate.  It was awesome to see! We then met the Himes at a park and he shared some with them too.  I was proud of him.  After the park we headed to a soccer game (that's why he was in his uniform).
Poor Bentley had some sad sick days and was super cuddly and sweet.

April 13th Bentley had his first taste of food! We only videotaped it so I don't have any pictures.  It was just rice cereal but he really liked it.  He ate it well and hardly spit it out at all.  It was impressive! :)
April 18th we went outside and Kolton enjoyed his trampoline.  He's so good at doing flips and tricks.  I decided to take a few pictures of Bentley too for his "5 month pictures." He was having a little bit of an allergy problem but he was still so cute!

April 20th was Easter.  Kolton was so stinking excited.  He got the candy bar he was hoping for (cookies and creme Hershey bar) and some cool army cars that he absolutely loved.

Brothers on Easter morning! :) We also had our traditional cinnamon rolls for breakfast that morning.

Mr. Bentley in his Easter outfit.  I actually just grabbed one of Kolton's ties and put it on Bentley.  Haha.  I never did get a picture of Kolton in his Easter clothes.
We were lucky enough to be able to go to the Thunder's playoff game against the Grizzlies.  We ended up losing in double overtime but it was still such a blast! So much excitement at those games! We were so grateful the Foys thought of us and let us use their tickets! Jill watched Kolton and Bentley for us so it was a nice date for us!
April 27th Bentley went down the slide for the first time and got to do it on brother's lap.  It was pretty anti-climatic but still fun.  :)
When we got home from the park Kolton wanted to feed Bentley his food.  He is actually really good at feeding him!

Another photo op with the cute little Bentley! We went through a box of Kolton's old clothes and found this outfit.  Too cute not to take pictures.  ;)

He started doing this a lot.  He will suck in his bottom lip and just sit there like that.  Its too cute!

Kolton was taking a bath in the other room and is so good at making crazy faces that I had to take some pictures of him too.  Haha.

Oh he is just so cute! :)
April 29th we tried food with Bentley for the first time (besides the rice cereal).  We gave him sweet potatoes because that was Kolton's favorite as a baby and he really liked it! In fact, he devoured it!

For Kolton's school we had to make a timeline of his life using 5 pictures.  He chose one from birth, one from his first Christmas, one from his first sport he played (soccer at the Y), his first day of Kindergarten, and then his first day as a big brother.  He wrote it all and taped it all on there.  He did a great job!
May 2nd the kindergarteners had their class party.  They had carnival games for the kids to play and Kolton had a blast! It was such a cute party! They did a great job.
He raced Nick and Adriano several times.  That was probably his favorite carnival game they had.

That night the Widdisons were having a dinner party at their house.  Brady ended up having to stay home because he thought Xara was in labor (which she was) so just the boys and I went.  The Himes, Landrums, and Lundbergs were there.  Kason took Bentley from me and Bentley cuddled up to him.  It was too cute.  Xara ended up having puppies that night starting at about 11:30 and had 12 puppies but one was stillborn.
On Sunday, the 4th, we had the Himes over for dessert.  While they were there Mark asked if Bentley could roll over or sit up or anything.  I told him no and said "Here, let me show you what he does when you try and get him to sit.  He's so lazy!" because when you'd try and make him sit he wouldn't even try and use his muscles...he would just let himself fall.  So, I sat him up and he SAT! I couldn't believe it! So, at 5 1/2 months old he started sitting! yay!!
One of my favorite parts of this picture is Kolton watching on.  He looks so proud of his little brother.  It is just heart warming.
Had to really show his sitting skills and take a bunch of pictures.  :)

May 9th Kolton's class was in charge of the Friday assembly.  He was so stinking cute up there! I'm so glad I was able to go watch.  He originally told his teacher he did not want a speaking part so she didn't give him one.  Then, a girl in his class hadn't been to school all week so on Thursday his teacher, Mrs. Randol, asked him if he would be willing to talk and he said yes.  She said she picked him because she knew he would be smart enough to pick it up in just one day.  So, that night we practiced and he memorized it.  But, on Friday the girl showed up to do her part.  Mrs. Randol asked Kolton if he wanted to do it with her but he said no.  He told me that that would be hard because he wouldn't know when she was going to start or anything so that's why he said no.  Haha.  Anyway, he sang the songs and did the sign language and was super cute up there.

May 10th we went to the OKC Energy soccer game.  They are a semi-professional team that just started in Oklahoma.  We got to ride a bus to the field and Kolton loved that.  We bought him a jersey when we got there and some nachos and drinks.  He thought it was a blast! Brady thought it was a lot of fun to!
Here I am with my boys on Mother's day.  Such a great day! They made me french toast for breakfast. It was oh so good!
I got this watch for Mother's day.  I love it and wear it everyday!
The next day we went to the park and it was unexpectedly freezing!! Luckily Jill had a jacket in her car that was Mark's that she let me borrow.  It was pretty funny to see Bentley's little head sticking out.  :)

First time sitting in a high chair at a restaurant.  We got to go to Mazzio's for lunch one day and Bentley had a good old time sitting like a big boy!
And then there's this handsome little man! Oh my! He is just so cute!

 Look at all those freckles!!

He really is such a good brother and loves to play with Bentley.  (Sometimes when Bentley isn't interested haha.)
May 10th Kolton's soccer team played against the Thunder.  Whoever won this game was going to end up getting first place in the league for the season so it was a very intense game! We ended up winning by a couple of goals.  I was proud of our boys!
