Utah and Bentley got his top front teeth

Kolton, Bentley, and I made a trip out to Utah on the 6th of August.  Brady couldn't get off work to take me so my friend Megan took us.  We had to do some creative packing to fit everything in her car (mainly the stroller was the problem) but we got it to work.  :) I was a little anxious again to fly since I had a baby again.  It had gotten so easy with Kolton and now I was starting over again. ;) The stroller ended up putting the alarm off and so they had to inspect it and wand it all but it ended up being safe.  :) We made it through security and had plenty of time before our flight took off.  Kolton watched the planes like he always does and Bentley played with toys.  :) I asked to switch my seats to the front row so that we'd have more room.  That ended up being super useful because Bentley had a dirty diaper on the plane and there aren't any changing tables so I was able to use the floor in front of me to change him.
We went straight from the airport to Tyler and Shalyse's new house.  They had just bought it in July so I was excited to see it.  We hung out with them for a little bit and then we headed to McDonalds (Kolton's choice) for dinner.  That night Bentley went down without a fuss. I couldn't believe it.  I thought for sure he'd have a learning curve with a new place but he did great.
The next day we got to see Korver and Chloe.  Chloe had changed so much since we last saw her (a year ago).  Kolton and Korver had a blast playing with the little grabber and some balls.

These two were too funny with their cheerios.  It was cute to watch them.

On Friday we went to see the new Ninja Turtle movie.  I ended up having to leave pretty much right when the movie started but I was able to stay in the hallway most of the time so I caught most of the movie.  This theater was cool because the entire theater is assigned seating so you pick where you want to sit when you buy your tickets.  That was nice!

Shawn came home from Australia late late late Friday night.  Kolton got to go to the airport to pick him up too! He was super excited to see him.  When Shawn got home he handed out souvenirs and told a few stories before we all headed to bed. For him it wasn't late but for us it was!
He slept in the room with Kolton who thought that was pretty cool! :)

Sunday we had my grandparents, Richard and Cindy and a few of their kids, and Kim and Raleigh and some of their kids, Jeremy, and Kyle, Nathan, and Joel over.  It was so great to see everyone and catch up.  We had a great time.

This is out of order but on Saturday we went to the pool.  I took Kolton up to the steep slide and made him go down it and he ended up loving it! He went several times and had a great time! Once he gets comfortable he loves swimming and playing in the water!

Cam had dance every morning really early.  When she came home one day Bentley was eating a morning snack.  It was so sweet to see him talk to her!

Shawn and I tried to make an Australian treat.  It didn't really turn out as it should.  Haha.  It was supposed to be soft and moist...instead it was hard and crunchy.  All well.  It still tasted pretty good!

Monday night we went to Get Air.  Bentley stayed home with my dad.  Kolton loves that place and always wants to go every time we are out in Utah.

I think on Tuesday we went to Chuck E Cheese.  Korver is a pro at that place and showed Kolton the ropes.  ;) Kolton had a blast.  He only wished you'd get more tickets from the games.

Tuesday night we went to the Ogden Temple open house.  It was super busy and you just got to walk through it rather quickly but Kolton thought it was so pretty! My mom suggested he count the number of pictures of Jesus he saw as we walked through.  I think he saw about 20.  He was very touched with how pretty it was and said he wanted to try really hard to be able to go there someday.  It was so sweet!

Wednesday we went to Lagoon.  When we drove up Kolton saw the ride Wicked and said that there was no way he was going on that ride.  :) So we started in the kiddie area and he had a lot of fun riding all those rides.

After a while we finally convinced him to ride some of the bigger roller coasters like the Spider, Colossus, and Wicked.  And wouldn't you know Wicked ended up being his very favorite ride.  I think he rode it 8 or 9 times.  The first time he went he wanted me to put my hand on his chest when you take off.  So I did that.  At first he started screaming in horror and then it quickly turned to a scream of delight.  It was so cute to watch his emotions change so quickly.  The next time we went he didn't want me to hold him.  I loved that he loved it.  He still keeps talking about that ride and how much he liked it.

At the very end of the night we took Bentley on the carousel.  Oh he was so cute on it! He loved loved loved it! He just would smile and smile the whole time.  It was so cute! I took him once and then my mom took him once since he loved it so much!

Thursday evening we met up with Tyler so he and Kolton could fly his plane.  Kolton was super excited to be able to fly a plane by himself.  It was pretty cool to watch!

Tyler would get it up high for him and then let Kolton steer it around up in the air and then Tyler would land it.

We left Friday morning to come back to Oklahoma.  Brady was able to pick us up so that was nice! We had a great time in Utah! It was the shortest trip we've ever taken out there I think but it was full of good times and a lot of fun! I am so grateful we are able to go out there so often.  Brady was happy to have us home, though.  ;)
AND while we were out there BENTLEY GOT TWO MORE TEETH! His top two front teeth came in! Yay!!

9 Year Anniversary

I looked out the window one morning and all these geese were walking from the empty lot next door to us and across the street.  They did it for several days in a row but I haven't seen them lately.  It was pretty neat to see them.
Kolton had his end of the season basketball party in July.  They got to swim, eat pizza, and play on a bounce house.  Their coaches gave them their sports cards and their medals.  The kids had a blast! Kolton is always bummed when the season ends.

Mr. Bentley and I spend lots of time outside watching Kolton ride his bike or scooter or play basketball.  Bentley loves it and I love taking pictures.  ;)

These boys are always on the go! Riding, shooting, scooting...anything they can get their hands on.

Brady took Monday, August 4th, and Tuesday, August 5th, off of work for our anniversary.  Monday we made a trip to Meers to try their famous burgers.  They have been on several "top burger" lists in the country.  It is about an hour and 45 minutes from here.
It is such a janky place literally on the corner of a road.  Like you have to walk across the road from the "parking lot" to get to the restaurant.  And then the floors are all crooked and the ceilings are really low.  BUT, the burger was good and it was fun to go there.  Glad we finally tried them.
We got there and walked in and saw on the sign that they only accept cash...no cards or checks.  So we had to leave and drive about 20 minutes to the nearest gas station use their ATM.  Then drive all the way back to the restaurant.  Then, once we got in and seated we realized they had an ATM there at the restaurant! Haha.  All well, made for a good memory.  :)

Tuesday night Brady and I went out on a date.  Brittany Salisbury came and watched the kids while we went to dinner (at Saltgrass) and then to see a movie (Guardians of the Galaxy).  It was great to go just the two of us and enjoy our anniversary together.  It was a great weekend!
