First Half of September (Basketball, Student of the Month, Hunting, Temple)

I don't know when or how it happened exactly but I've slowly started shopping at Walmart less and less and less.  I only go there if I have to.  I try to do all my grocery shopping at Crest and quick trips to Target.  I just hate how busy and dirty Walmart always is.
Trigger is messier than my kids! I'm not even kidding! I will pick up his toys (that he spreads around the entire house) and then he proceeds to immediately pull them all back out! Haha.  I know that if I want them to stay in the basket, I now have to secretly clean up his toys because if he sees me put them in his basket he runs right over and pulls them out.
Kolton was invited to come participate in a team's practice on the 1st of September.  They are called the OKC Chaos and all of their teams (they have a 2nd grade, 3rd grade, 4th grade, and 6th grade team) are all nationally ranked in the top 100.  Some of them are in the top 15.  It is crazy.  These kids are good! Anyway, one of the coaches has a son that goes to Kolton's school and he texted me and invited Kolton to come to their practice to see if he'd like it. He was a little intimidated at first and their practice was the most intense practice he has ever participated in but he liked it and really wanted to be on their team and part of their club.

There is a kid that lives in our neighborhood who is in 6th grade and plays on the 6th grade team at our school.  He comes over to our house a lot to hang out and invited us to come to his first game so we did.  It was fun!
Kolton's teacher picked Kolton to be student of  the month for August.  He is so amazing!! We are always just so proud of him!! I hope he stays this way even as a teenager.  Haha.

Kolton went dove hunting with Brady and his dad.  Brady's parents gave him graduation money for graduating with his Master's degree in Business Administration so he used part of that money to buy a few things he'd need to dove hunt. They shot a couple and had a really good time and hit up IHOP afterwards!

Just sporting my JDWalkStrong shirt on WalkStrongWednesday. ;)
One of the coaches is a shooting coach and has been working with Kolton on his shot.  Kolton is so lucky to have been able to go and practice with this team!

A family in Brady's parent's ward got baptized and the adults and teenager were going to go to the temple for the first time one Friday night. So they asked us if we could watch their son who wasn't old enough to go.  Afterwards we met up with them at Red Robbin and got some dessert.  Brady's dessert was huge!!
Saturday morning we went and watched Pierson play in his flag football game. He was a stud out there and dominated.  He was made to play football.
After that we went to the marina at Lake Stanley Draper for duck blind drawings.  Brady and I both got raffle tickets and then Ross was there as well.  Both Brady and Ross got their ticket drawn for a duck blind and then Brady got his number drawn for a blind at Lake Overholser (but turns out the lake is all dried up where is blind is so it is useless).  Anyway, Brady and Ross were really excited that they got their numbers drawn so that they can gave blinds at the lake that is so close to where they live.  It allows them to do quick hunting trips if they want.
Brady took me dove hunting as well but we didn't see anything so that was a bummer.  It was still fun to sit out in nature in the peace and quiet with him though.
On Sunday afternoon we went out to Brady's duck blind on Draper to see what it looked like and where it was exactly.  It was a lot of fun.  The boys loved it!! And Trigger loved being able to fetch in the water.

That night after dinner we drove up to the temple to walk around it and look at it with the boys.  Such a sweet experience to have with them.  It was so peaceful and we just walked around it letting them look at it and play around.

While we were there we noticed there was a skunk on the temple grounds! We stayed far away from that! Haha.

Brady threw away Bentley's necklace that looked like this one in the picture.  Monday morning Bentley was going through his toys and found another one.  He was pretty happy and wanted me to take a picture to send to Brady.  Haha.
Monday evening we went over to Jaycee and Adam's house to celebrate Adam's birthday.  They grilled burgers and we watched the kids play outside.  They have a pond a couple houses down from them so the boys loved playing down there and throwing rocks and sticks into it.  The older boys played in a field across the street with the football.

The kids ended up finding a snake that was stuck in the netting from the sod that had been laid so Adam and Brady's dad worked on cutting the netting so that the snake could go free.

So, remember how we went on Sunday to the lake to find Brady's duck blind...?? Well on WEDNESDAY....WEDNESDAY morning I found a tick on my stomach!!! I couldn't believe it!! I was in the shower and thought it was a scab so I went to scrape it off and it moved but didn't come off!!! I instantly panicked and called Brady saying I didn't know what to do! Haha.  I got my tweezers and my hands were literally shaking as I pulled that sucker out.  I just couldn't believe it.  haha.

We received Brady's diploma in the mail!!! Ahh!!!! So stinking exciting! I am so proud of him for sticking through it (even though it took him longer than he wanted) and getting his Masters.  This piece of paper is proof of all his hard work and late nights the past few years as he's worked hard on this! AND, he graduated with HONORS as the top of his class!! So proud of him!!
Friday night we went to a wedding reception for Devan Hoyt and his wife who had gotten married the week before in Arkansas.  The boys had a blast playing around.  Haha.

We had a really windy rain storm on Saturday.  It was so bad that it made the cement that holds our basketball goal come up from the ground.  We had to take the basketball goal down (it is still down) so that it wouldn't fall on anyone or anything.  Kolton's pretty bummed about it.  We plan on fixing it but it sure is hard to find the time!

It also caused water to leak into Brady's truck.  The seal around the top back brake light got busted and water leaked in all onto his seat.  We had to take it in the next week to get it fixed.
We went to go get dinner and we saw this beautiful rainbow! You could see from one side to the next and it was super bright and defined!
Shawn and McKenzie came over and Bentley actually sat on Mckenzie's lap! Haha.  She's been trying since they moved here and he finally did it! Yay! Haha.

Good old Sunday afternoon nap.  These three boys are so cute.  I had been out visiting another ward's young women group to teach them about modesty and came home to these three sleeping away in my bed.  ;)
That evening we went to Amy Riley's house for dinner.  She has chickens and horses and everything and the kids loved it.  They found this wagon and they pulled/pushed each other in it for a while.  The older kids played football (again) and had a great time just hanging out outside.
