***SATURDAY***
Saturday morning I woke up at 3:45 to get ready to get to the airport. My plan was to wake Kolton up at about 4:30 so we could leave for the airport at 5:00 but as I was showering he came walking out of his room asking if it was time to go to the airport. :) So, he got up at about 4:00 that morning! Our flight took off at 6:30 and landed in Utah at like 7:55. It was so nice to be on a non-stop flight! It cut the flying time by quite a bit and then I didn't have to run around in an airport with him! I loved it! 
When we got there, we stopped for some breakfast on the way home and went to my parent's house to eat. After we were there for about 15 minutes Kolton asked where all the toys were. :) So, him and I went shopping with Grandma so she could get some "grandma toys." They bought several things but his favorite were the car track and the animals!
When we got there Kolton quickly took to Tyler. They almost immediately started playing a little game that Kolton loved! He even had to take one sock off so he could just wear one like Tyler. :) It started because Tyler burped and Kolton pointed out that it was him. Tyler argued saying that it was Kolton and it went back and forth until each of them was just saying "you!" to each other. Then Kolton started copying every thing Tyler did so then Tyler started doing silly things to see if Kolton would copy. It was HILARIOUS!

Later that day Derek, Lizzie, and Korver came over. This was our first time to meet him (he was 2 weeks old). We fell in love! He's the cutest little thing! Kolton absolutely loved holding him! And he was so sweet and soft with him too! He would just talk to him and give him kisses. In face, today (2 weeks later), on our way to Walmart (where else? :)) he told Brady and I that he loves Korver and loves to hold him and kiss him and talk to him. It was so cute!
***SUNDAY***
Sunday Derek had the opportunity to bless his sweet boy, Korver Jay Moffett. I was so happy that I was able to be there! He gave him an amazing blessing! Korver is one lucky boy! My uncles, Jeremy and Raleigh, Lizzie's father and brother, and my dad were able to participate in the blessing.
Everyone came over to my parent's house for a dinner afterwards. We had yummy food and were able to visit with family and friends!
On Monday, Kolton and Grandma separated all the animals by color. He was SO proud of himself and thought it was so cool that they were all grouped together! We also went to the park in the morning but it started to rain so we had to walk home quickly!
***TUESDAY***
Monday night my Grandma Ames (my mom's mom), my aunt Gina (she's married to my mom's brother, Ben), and her son Joel came in to town unexpectedly. My mom and Gina were best friends in high school along with 2 other girls. One of them lives in Utah, and on the Tuesday prior her 13 year old daughter was on her way to the bus stop when she got hit by a car that was being driven by another 13 year old and died. So, they came in to town to attend the funeral that was being held on Tuesday afternoon. You can read about it here. It is such a sad story. Madison's father was also killed in a car accident 5 years earlier (he had a seizure while driving and crashed). Despite the sad circumstances for why they were there, it was great to see them! On the way to the funeral we stopped at Zupas and had lunch. It was yummy!
***WEDNESDAY***
They decided to stay an extra day so we were able to actually visit on Wednesday. Here's me, Kolton, Derek, Tyler, Grandma Ames, Gina, Korver, Joel and Lizzie sitting around in the family room.
Joel was kind enough to sit down and play animals with Kolton!
Tyler played basketball probably every day we were there with Kolton. He loved going out there and watching Tyler and trying some moves himself.
Cam and I tried SEVERAL times to get a picture of our shadows while jumping on the trampoline. I pretty much stunk at holding the camera at the right height while jumping to get the picture. We finally got one that sort of turned out.
Wednesday night we went to the high school football team. I guess it was a pretty big deal game because both teams were undefeated. There was tons of people there! Kolton had fun until about the end of the 2nd quarter and then he was done. He sat through half time but then about half way through the 3rd quarter I had to get up and let him run around on the track until the end of the game.
***THURSDAY***
Thursday my siblings were on fall break so we all went to this dinosaur park that they have in Ogden, which is about 20 minutes from where my parents live. Kolton loves dinosaurs. He loves to play with them and he loves to pretend he is one. When we were packing for the trip I asked him what toys he wanted to bring and he said dinosaurs. So, of course we had to go to the Dinosaur Park. At first when you walk in they have these amnitronic dinosaurs that move and make noise behind an "electrified fence." It reminded me of Jurassic Park. ;) He was a little skeptical of the dinosaurs, especially at first. After we watched those for a little bit we went through this little museum thing and then outside where all the dinosaurs were!
They had a little playground you could play at so we stopped there for a little and he got to play some.
Tyler took him up in this tree and then down the slide a couple of times. It was a pretty big tree!
Then we walked around the park and saw all the dinosaurs. Kolton was still a little unsure of them because they hard dinosaur roars going throughout all the park coming from no particular dinosaur, they were just all around and so he was always nervous he was going to go to the dinosaur that was roaring. So, he had Tyler carry him around throughout the entire park. And we were there for over 2 hours!
When we went to take a picture with the tyrannosaurus Tyler and I were saying "Ahhh!" and Kolton grabbed Tyler's face and looked at him and said "No, you are supposed to say 'cheese!'" in a really concerned voice.
My beautiful sister Cam and I pretending to be scared of a "mummy bear." They had all their Halloween decorations out and that night was the first night you could go through as a haunted dinosaur park.
Kolton brought a dinosaur with him that he wanted to take around and see if he could find a match there. He would check with a lot of the dinosaurs we went to. He'd say, "Are you a match? Nope!" or "Yep! Its a match! Same, same." He had fun doing that!
Kolton was terrified of this thing! He did not want to take a picture with it!
After the dinosaur park we went to Derek and Lizzie's house and got to meet their puppy, Rocco (he's a german shepherd). Kolton loved playing fetch with him!!
He also liked holding Cookie. :)
***FRIDAY***
Friday afternoon we went to Lagoon. Kolton was excited but a little apprehensive about going. We showed him some pictures from last year when he went to remind him what it was and what you could do there just to give him an idea of what to expect. The first ride he rode on was the Merry-go-Round. He was a little anxious on it and had to hold my hand as we went around but after it was all done he quickly realized it was fun and he wanted to ride more rides! He got to ride the boats next and he reacted much differently then last year! Last year he cried until the boat ride started going and then he realized it was fun and was fine after that but this year he didn't cry at all! He was excited from the second we got in line!
He got to ride on this dragon roller coaster this year and he had a blast! He was so excited to ride on everything that he had a hard time waiting in line!
At lunch him and I shared this ginormous ice cream cone!! These things were huge! And we kind of got a small one in comparison to some of the others. It was oh so good though!
Since it was close to Halloween they had Frightmares going on. So, for kids under 12 they had a maze to go through as well as a trick or treating for them to participate in. As you went through the maze there were little stops with people dressed up as different things (fairies, gnomes, witches, etc.) that gave you some sort of treat like a ring, silly bands etc.
This was one of Kolton's favorite rides from last year and he loved it this year too! He went on it twice! He loves that it goes forward and then slows down and goes backwards! You can tell he's excited!
This ride took some coaxing and a little pushing to go on. Its a kid version of "Blast Off" or "Re-entry." He had to watch it go a couple of times before he gave the ok to go on it. He had so much fun on it though! I got him to put his hands up a couple of times. He liked how it would tickle his belly as you'd drop. He just laughed and laughed the whole time!
This was the trick or treating at the end of the night. They had all the stops decorated really cute!

At about 7:00 that night my parents took Kolton and I went with my brother and sister and went to go on a ride or two and then through a couple haunted houses. He got to ride the merry-go-round again and had fun with Grandma!
They thought he'd probably be ready to go when they left us but he still had fire in him! He wanted to ride more rides! Grandma and Grandpa let him play one of the games they have there and he won a little stuffed fish that he likes to use when we sing "Slippery Fish" (a song he learned in nursery). Even the next few days and now when he sees pictures he wants to ride more rides. He had a blast!
***SATURDAY***
Kolton and Tyler loved being silly together! They were a crack up! This day, Kolton picked out Tyler's outfit. Tyler had to wear a green shirt just like him! Kolton also picked out his shorts, undershirt, shoes and shoes. He was his little buddy!
We drove to a park nearby Grandma and Grandpa's house so he could feed the ducks. As we were driving to the park Kolton pointed out a gold Durango parked pretty far off the road and wanted us to know that it was kind of like our car (ours isn't gold). He's becoming more observant. He pointed out several Durangos on our trip saying that they were all like our car but not actually ours. Kolton liked that the ducks were behind a fence so they couldn't get him. I for some reason told him to try and put the bread through the chain link and see if a duck would come get it. He did it one time and thought it was cool. He did it a second time and the duck got his finger too so that was the end of that. He went back to throwing the bread over the fence. Tyler showed him how to throw a frisbee (with a little success...) and Grandpa played with him on the playground while the rest of us watched. ;)
***SUNDAY***
Sunday we had General Conference which didn't start until 2:00 so we had a very relaxing morning. Grandpa offered a bubble bath to Kolton and boy did he deliver! Ha! He put dish soap in the bathtub and then turned on the jets. There was a TON of bubbles! Kolton had a blast! He could sit in the bath tub and the bubbles would go up to his neck (and the water was only at mid stomach). He liked putting the bubbles on his arms and showing me his bubble monsters. Every time he'd ask me where the monster's legs were and I'd say I didn't know and then he'd tell me that's because he doesn't have any! ;) 
That night Derek and Lizzie and Korver came over as well as my high school friend, Sarah and her husband Jacob Quinn. We had dinner and were able to chat for a couple of hours. I completely over estimated how much chicken fettuccine alfredo we were going to need to feed every one because there was still about half the pot left! We also had a fun time teasing my dad because for some reason he thought Jacob's name was Quinn so while at the table he asked "Quinn" to pass him the juice and I quickly corrected him. Kolton was in heaven when Korver was around. He loved to love on him and hold him! It was the cutest thing in the world! Lizzie was so nice to take care of Kolton for me while Sarah and Jacob were there too so I could just chat and not have to entertain Kolton!
***MONDAY***
My mom, Kolton and I went to the mall on Monday. I've been wanting some new jeans and I love some of the ones my sister has so I thought I'd go to the store she buys them from. WRONG! They don't sell them in short lengths. Only regular! Lame! So, we let Kolton play in the play place at the mall. Grandma told us not to expect anything great, that the play area was really small and she was right! It was tiny! You'd think in Utah, of all places, there would be a good sized play area! The one at Sooner Mall was at least 10-12 times bigger! Not even kidding! Kolton had fun though! He enjoyed jumping off of all the big plastic toys.That evening after school Tyler enlisted Kolton's help to rub his feet. Kolton thought that after a few rubs, though, that Tyler's feet should be fine so the rub didn't last too long!
THEN, he convinced him to rub his hair. That boy sure is spoiled! ;)
We came home late Tuesday night. Brady was happy to see us! We had such a great time though spending time with everyone in Utah! We loved it!
