During the summer, because of Trigger, I made it a goal to go on a walk every weekday morning. We didn't make it every day but we only missed a few. The boys loved it too because it gave them time to play outside that the otherwise wouldn't get because it gets so hot after 10:00. Haha. It forced us to start the day as well instead of just laying around all morning.
On July 6th I took the boys to a park to let Kolton and his friend play soccer. We tried to go to Southlakes but it was locked and all the goals were put up so we headed to an elementary school around the corner and let them play. They didn't last very long though because it was just too hot.
Bentley put on his shoes by himself for the first time ever on July 7th. Part of that is because this was the first time he had slip on shoes since he would have been old enough to do it but still it was exciting for him nonetheless. They were on the wrong feet but they were on and that's all that matters! :)
He also fixed his hair by himself that day too, or as he'd say "by self." Haha. Got into the hair paste and went to town. I love that there are clumps just all in there but he was super proud.
Two days before Brady's parents were leaving for Florida they called me up and asked if Kolton might be interested in coming along. They were taking London and London was nervous to go so they thought if Kolton came he might feel a little more comfortable. Kolton of course jumped at the chance and was super excited. They left Friday, July 8th. Kolton had so much fun and didn't get stung by a jellyfish so that was good. Haha.
Here are some pictures that Brady's parents sent us of the boys in Florida.
That day was my friend Joni Widdison and her husband Randy Widdison's anniversary so they asked if I'd watch Edyn for them to go out. I was so excited to and she was just the sweetest little cuddler. Bentley loved having a playmate as well!
That evening as Bentley and I were eating popcorn together he kept telling me what each piece looked like...a lion, a tower etc. It was too cute.
Bentley sure is messy when we go to Braum's! Haha. He loves it though!
We decided to go to the library on the 11th and Jaycee and her boys were there as well. Bentley loved being at the library with his cousins!
Later that evening Brady took us to 7-Eleven to get our free icees since it was 7-Eleven day! Woohoo!
On the 13th I decided to take Bentley to Andy Alligator's. We were there for about 10 minutes before he slipped and fell and busted his chin wide open. I could immediately tell it was bad. You could just see the flesh. It was gross. Went to the first aid station again to get cleaned up and he was fine until he saw the manager guy that helped us last time Bentley slipped and fell when we went there earlier during the summer. We got a butterfly bandage on and headed home. He passed out on me right after we got home and slept there for quite some time! I may have dozed off a few times too. Haha.
I sent this picture to Brady because as I was doing it I thought I was crazy. Haha. We were going down to Norman to meet some friends at a park and I decided it would be a good idea to bring Trigger. Haha. He was super hyper but had fun. Bentley had a blast playing with his friends and running around the playground.

July 14th we had some pretty nice weather! That evening it was 75 degrees out! That is unheard of in Oklahoma in July!! We tried hard to take advantage of it as much as we could!
Kolton got home from Florida on the night of the 15th. He was tired but was sad to not be in Florida anymore. Haha.
Brady snapped this picture of Bentley and I. That kid takes up my spot so much that I end up using the nightstand as my pillow. Haha.

We went to the peach festival on the 16th. While it was cool, I don't think we will be going to it again. haha. The peaches were all gone. It was SO hot, and even though the website said the kids area was free that did not include the inflatables apparently. $20 later and the kids could jump for the 10 minutes they could handle before they got too hot. Haha.
The night of the 16th we went swimming with some friends at a friend's pool. It was so fun to go swimming with Brady and be in a pool that wasn't public. Haha. The boys had a blast swimming and having Brady there as well. We ate pizza and had a great time.
One time when I jumped off the diving board I lost one of my earrings. I thought for sure it was gone. Brady and the other guys ended up deciding they were going to try and find it. Brady dove down to the bottom and came up with not only my earring but my back as well! I couldn't believe it. I was hoping they'd be able to maybe find my earring but thought for sure there was no chance they'd find the back and there Brady was with both. Haha. It was awesome and I was so grateful for him and that he was able to find it.
Sunday evening is for cookie making, right? Haha. These two are the best cookie dough making helpers...especially when it comes to taste testing it when it is finished. Haha.
We had the missionaries and Shawn and Mckenzie over for dinner one night. I decided to make café rio for dinner. It was delicious, but shredding all that pork gave me some serious blisters on my fingers! It was crazy! Never again. Haha. (Wait, that's not true...we've had it again a few times after that haha)
For the combined activity in July the YM were in charge and they picked to go fishing. They got to go to the Orr's pond which has tons of fish. I think Brady said between all the kids they caught almost 100 fish in just an hour!
On Friday, July 22nd, Kolton and I headed to Andy Alligators just the two of us. He was so excited! I never get to do any of the slides with him because I always have Bentley with us so it was so fun to be able to go just he and I and go and do all the slides and stuff. Kolton kept saying all afternoon "We should do this more often!" Loved it!
And then of course we had to stop and get icees after we left. Actually we left and got the icees and then went back and swam some more and then left again. haha.
And...we have another picture of messy Bentley. Haha. Strawberries and Nutella. One of his favorite snacks. He calls it "chwloclate" and I think it is so cute.
I babysat a couple of the Finnestad children on the 25th so that their mom could drive her niece down to Dallas to fly home and the little kids didn't have to be in the car for 6 hours. Thank goodness I did because Angela ended up not getting home until like 10 that night because the airport made her stay with her niece until she boarded the plane which Angela was not expecting. Bentley loved having a play mate though and we had fun at Andy Alligators!
That night was FHE and we made ice cream sundaes for dessert with tons of toppings! They were delicious! And I love the faces Kolton has started making in all his pictures lately. Haha.
On Tuesday, the 26th, I took the boys and Beckett to Elevation to let them jump for a little bit and then we hit up OnCue and got some slurpees with some free passes that the Baileys gave us. The boys had so much fun jumping. Well, Bentley did for a little bit and then mostly just sat with me and watched Kolton and Beckett play. Haha.
The last weekend of July, Brady went on high adventure with the boys 14 and over in our ward. They went boating and scuba diving and had a great time!
