4th of July

We had the best 4th of July! It was so fun!! 

We started the day off with our traditional 4th of July movie date.  We went and saw "How to Train Your Dragon 2." We had gift certificates from Brady's work and so we ended up not having to pay anything so that was an added bonus! It was a super cute movie and we enjoyed it! 

After the movie we headed to the firework stand and bought a bunch of fireworks and then we got ready for our friends to come over for dinner and fireworks.  The Himes, Lundbergs, and the Widdisons came over. We had burgers and hotdogs and tons of other food.  Tons.  It was yummy! Brady did a great job cooking it all! :) We ate inside and then spent the rest of the night outside.  We played ping pong and basketball and the kids ran in the sprinkler and rode bikes and the scooter.  It was such a blast! Kids were dirty and half naked so we know they had a good time! Haha.     

 We started fireworks as the sun started going down.  The kids loved the roman candles, smoke bombs, and little buzzing things.  

 Us adults enjoyed some of the bigger ones.  :) We also enjoyed all the fireworks we could see around us from neighboring shows.  

 To end the evening Joni found some toads to catch and the kids took turns holding them.  We stayed up late (until almost midnight) laughing and having fun.  It was a great 4th of July and just the right party to celebrate our freedom as a country.
