One morning, while our new roof was being installed, we took Andrew and Pierson to the pool. They were so crazy. It was awesome!
Here's a picture of our house with the new roof. I think it looks at least 10 times better than the old "white" roof. And it is just nice to know that it has a new, good quality roof on it.
Kolton is such a cutie. He loves to play kinnect and I just love it.
On July 30th I had a doctor's appointment at the Perinatal Center of Oklahoma (the high risk clinic I go to). The baby weighed 1 lb 6 oz and his heart rate was at 151 bpm. I was 24 weeks and 1 day.
On July 31st Kolton felt the baby move for the fist time! It was such a sweet moment! We were all laying on mine and Brady's bed and the baby was moving a lot so I told Kolton to come see if he could feel him. He did right away and ttought it was so cool his brother was kicking him. ;) He then sang to him Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. It was so sweet.
That night we also had a couple from our ward come look at our house. We decided to put on Facebook that we were selling our home and before we listed it with a realtor we wanted to see if any of our friends knew anyone looking for a home and we would sell it to them cheaper since we didn't have to pay realtors. They contacted us and wanted to come look at it. They came and looked around and chatted with us for a while and then said they would let us know.
On August 1st we went to Jaycee and Adam's house for dinner and then to go swim. We had a good time chatting with them. Unfortunately Jaycee had to leave and go to the urgent care while we were there because it looked like she was having an allergic reaction to something or had been bitten by some sort of bug and needed to go get it looked at.
Friday, the 2nd, I went to Vanessa's babyshower. It was great to celebrate the coming of Esme.
On Saturday, the 3rd, Brady and I celebrated our 8 year anniversary. We decided to go to the temple and do sealings. It was so much fun. We had never done sealings before and it was such a neat experience. I'm glad we did it. Afterwards we went to Macaroni Grill for lunch. I can't believe we have been married for 8 years. They have been such great years, though. We sure do love each other and I'm so grateful for the strength of our relationship. I'm blessed, for sure, to be married to him. The Himes watched Kolton for us and took him to Frontier City. He was pretty excited and had a lot of fun riding all the rides and playing at the water park part of it. We picked him back up around 3 or so that afternoon.
On Monday, the 5th (our actual anniversary), we met with a lender to work out the details for the financing of our new home. Did I mention yet that we are building a new house?! I don't think I have. Well, we are and we are so excited! Anyway, we met with the lender and provided him all of our bank account statements, paystubs etc. to get that all going. We are supposed to close on our new home on December 31st. I'm thinking it will be mid to end of January, really, but that is the date we are shooting for.

On Tuesday, the 6th, while Brady was at school, Kolton and I went to A&W to get free root beer floats. So yummy! The store's ac was broken so that stunk, but the root beer floats were good! I thought maybe there would be huge lines there but there was only like 5 people in front of us so that was great! Brady has done so well in school. He is focused and determined to do well and he has! So far he has gotten straight A's and he's done with one semester with just two more left!
Here I am on August 6th. 25 weeks and 1 day.
My dad came by on the 7th for a little bit to bring us some stuff we left in Utah (as always!). Kolton loves having him come over and never wants him to leave to go back to his hotel.
August 8th I had a doctor's appointment at my regular doctor's office. I measured 25 weeks and the baby's heart rate was 152 bpm. We also went and met with Brandon (our builder) that evening to talk to him about a few changes we wanted to make to the floor plan before he started building. Once we were done there we headed up to Bass Pro so Brady could look at hunting stuff. He is so excited for duck season to start!
As we were leaving Brady thought Devon tower looked pretty cool with the sun setting behind it. I totally agree!
Kolton and I also went to the pool that morning and brought Andrew along with us. They love running around, jumping in, throwing the ball to each other, and riding the blue and yellow slide. Its so fun to watch them have such a good time.
August 12th I took Kolton to jumpzone and invited the Himes to come too. Kolton had been asking all summer to go and so since school started that week I thought I should take him. He loved it!
Tuesday, the 13th, while Brady was at school, Kolton and I headed out front for him to ride his scooter. It wasn't super hot outside so I thought we should take advantage. He loved making faces at me with each pass he made. It was cute. He's gotten really good at riding that thing! I remember when he first got it and he'd barely go anywhere and now he zooms around so fast making crazy turns and trying to do bunny hops and whatnot. Its awesome.
On Wednesday he had back to school night. I don't have any pictures of him there but he got to see Mrs. Holleyman and give her a hug. He sure does miss having her as his teacher. She was so good for him in Pre-k. We were glad we went to back to school night so he could meet his new teacher and find his classroom (which is in a portable).
