The Foys Came to Visit on Memorial day Weekend

On Thursday I got a call from Brittney saying they wanted to come to Moore for the weekend and wondered if they could stay with us.  I of course said yes and was so excited to see them and be able to spend time with them! They got here late on Friday night.  Kolton thought it was pretty cool that he got to stay up until 11:00 waiting for them.  We stayed up until I think like 1:00 and then decided to head to bed.  The next morning Kolton had a soccer game so we went to that and then we had a birthday party for Landon and Carter.  Other than that, though, we hung out with the Foys all weekend.  It was a blast! Kolton was in heaven and absolutely loved having his best friend back to visit.  

Brady did magic tricks for the kids.  It is so funny to watch them in amazement.  I love it! 

 It was a great weekend and went way too fast! 

On May 28th, Kolton got a card in the mail from Grandma and Grandpa Moffett.  He loves getting mail and thinks it is the coolest thing! 

 He was pretty darn excited to find a $5 bill in there and a card for graduating kindergarten! 

 Bentley started teething that week.  He was not a fan! We tried lots of things to try and ease his pain.  

 On May 31st, he got to ride in the cart for the first time.  We had gone to crest and he enjoyed himself! 

 That night Brady cooked steak that we had bought from Crest.  He's tried a few time to grill steak and hasn't ever really been satisfied but he did awesome that night and we've had it a few more times since then because they were so good!

 We bought one of these little things and put some frozen fruits in it and he went to town.  He thoroughly enjoyed himself! 

 May 31st started my birthday weekend and Brady surprised me with some brownie bites from Baked.  I absolutely love those things! I ate salad every day that week for lunch so that I could enjoy as many of them as I wanted.  Haha.  

Bentley is 6 months; Kolton's last day of school

 On May 16th Kolton had Super Kids Day.  Brady was so excited for Kolton to experience a Super Kids Day.  It was his favorite day of school every year and just knew Kolton would love it.  He was right! Kolton had so much fun going from activity to activity.  They paired the kids up with a friend and then had 4 kindergartners with a 6th grade chaperone.  It was fun to watch him try new games and activities and experience all there was to offer at a Super Kids Day.  

 May 19th was Kolton's Kindergarten graduation.  Brady was able to get the morning off of work so that he could come see.  The kids came in dressed as super heros and sang us some songs. Then each kid was called up by the principal, Mrs. Massey, to receive an award from their teacher. Kolton received the Gobstopper award for having "gobs of good ideas."  They also announced what each kid wanted to be when they grew up.  Kolton said he wanted to be a veterinarian.   

 Mrs. Randol was an excellent teacher and I am so glad they we decided to switch Kolton schools so that he could have her as his teacher for just a few short months.  She taught him so much and treated him with love and kindness but also pushed him to be better.  

 That afternoon Bentley had his 6 month check up.  Kolton decided to wear his superhero costume to the doctor's office.  

 

 I wish I could remember Bentley's weight and height.  I know it was 16 lbs and some ounces.  And then his height was in the 20 inches somewhere.  Haha.  I do remember, though, that he was 50% in both height and weight.  Its interesting how different our two boys are.  Kolton was always 90th or 100% in height and here Bentley is at the 50th.  It will be interesting to see how he grows and what he looks like as he gets older.  

 On May 20th I went outside and took some pictures of Bentley in our front yard to serve as his 6 month pictures.  While I was taking pictures a photographer from New York pulled up and asked if he could take our pictures. He was here on the anniversary of the tornado and was going around taking pictures of what people in Moore are doing one year from the tornado.  He supplies pictures for CNN and some other national news stations.  He wanted me to continue to just take pictures of Bentley while he took pictures of me doing that.  It was a little uncomfortable but kind of cool.  I never did see any of the pictures he took but it was still kind of neat knowing he did that.  

Bentley is such a sweet little boy.  

 I took a couple pictures of Kolton too.  He is so dang cute.  

This is what Kolton did to occupy himself while I took tons of pictures.  Haha.  In the lot next to us there is a storm shelter and there are a bunch of VHS tapes in a box on top of it.  One had broken and the spool was sitting on the ground.  Kolton decided to take it and wrap himself up in it.  It was pretty funny to watch him try and get it off.  

That night Bentley held his bottle by himself for the first time!  Yay! 

 After I put Bentley down for sleep Kolton helped me feed all the puppies.  Xara hurt her leg when the puppies were about a week old and when she did that she stopped producing very much milk so we had to bottle feed the puppies in order for them to gain enough weight.  It took about an hour and a half if Brady and I did it together.  It was such a chore and I'm so glad its over.  Haha.  Anyway, Kolton wanted to help that night.  I think he ended up doing two puppies is all because they move around so much that it was hard for him to keep them still to feed them.  It was a great help, though, because Brady was at school that night.  

 May 23rd was Kolton's last day at school as a kindergartner.  I can't even believe it! He has grown and changed so much over the school year!
