Brady had the week off of work the week of Bentley's birthday. He had asked for that week off at the beginning of the year to go hunting but he obviously didn't get to go. :( But, it was great to have him home! We also decided to keep Kolton home from school that day so we could celebrate Bentley's birthday. Brady had to go to school that night (he started his MBA!!) so we were going to celebrate during the day.
We started Bentley's birthday off with donuts. Bentley got his first donut all to himself and loved it! He was so cute and loved having us sing happy birthday to him. I absolutely love these pictures! I think they are so sweet!
See, he really got in to it! He ended up eating it all!
After his morning nap we headed to the mall to let him play in the playplace. He had so much fun walking around and playing with a bouncy ball we got from Old Navy on the way in. After we played we went to Chick fil a to eat lunch. Kolton turned his toy from his kids meal in for a cup of ice cream and was nice enough to share with Bentley. He loved it!
We came home and Bentley took his afternoon nap. :) Then we gave him his present. We saved this zebra toy from when Kolton was little and have had it in storage so we went and got it and gave it to him. He loved it (that day haha).
Bentley has had a few more teeth come in since his last update. He now has 7 teeth (four on top and three on the bottom). October 17th Bentley got a bottom tooth. It looks like he might only have one lateral incisor because there isn't even a sign of the other one (and usually those come in pretty close to the same time it seems like) plus neither Brady nor his Dad have that tooth so he might end up with a missing one. :) October 26th Bentley got a top lateral incisor and then a few days later got the other. He walks everywhere and doesn't crawl at all. He can get his own drink and after he takes a sip will then open his mouth and say "ahhh" very dramatically. It is too funny. He still only says "da" for bite (and it is starting to become his way to ask for anything). He also now will ask you to hold him or give him something by opening and closing his hands. He waves good-bye and hi and claps his hands and will blow kisses. If he sees a ball he looks for a basketball goal. When he hears the door chime go off he stops whatever he is doing and goes to the garage door as fast as his little legs will carry him. :) He is developing quite a personality and loves us to laugh at him and will do whatever he can to make us. He is a fun addition to our family and we love him!
