Kolton's 4th Birthday

Our sweet little boy turned 4 on the 29th of December.  We tried hard to make it super special for him! We are so proud of who he is and what a special, sweet boy he is! He means the world to Brady and I and so we were really excited to celebrate his special day! He woke up to special signs throughout the house.  When he walked out of his room he wanted to take a picture with one.  :)

I then let him take a bubble bath.  We are so busy lately that he usually just gets in the bath, washes, and gets out but on his birthday i filled it with bubbles and let him play as long as he wanted.  He had fun making himself Santa.

When he got out of the bath he said he wanted to take a picture of himself in his towel because he has a picture when he's a baby in his towel--that way he could see how much he's grown.  ;) (We have a picture up in the kitchen of him when he's about 3 months old in his towel after a bath.)
After we got dressed we had cinnamon rolls for breakfast and he played with his trains.
We were planning on going to Andy Alligators that morning but it doesn't open until 11:00 so I asked him what he wanted to do and he said he wanted to play soccer.  So, we headed out to the front and played some soccer.  We took turns shooting and "being the blocker." His rule was if you got blocked or made it--it didn't matter--your turn was up and you had to "be the blocker."
 He's a dancing goalie! ;)
We played for a while and then headed out for Andy Alligators.  Before we went there, though, he wanted to stop by daddy's work and say hi to him and ask him for some stickers.
As we were driving from Brady's work to Andy Alligators, Grandma and Grandpa Moffett called and talked to him and told him happy birthday.  He's so funny to listen to on the phone.  Its cute.
First thing we did was hit up the putt-putt coarse.  Kolton was pretty excited that it was warm enough for him to go golfing! He loves it!

I love how his little tongue sticks out when he's concentrating on doing something.  :)
After we were done golfing, he wanted to go bowling.

Here he is pretty stoked he just got a spare! ;) He's so funny!
These next two pictures make me laugh...you push the button to make the lizard's tongue go out and hit the bugs as they go by.  He would stick his tongue out as he'd push the button to "help the lizard" stick his out.  Haha.

We played lots of basketball (like 4 or 5 games worth) and skeeball, and some other random games.  He earned like 200 tickets and decided to get a bouncy ball.  :) While we were in Andy Alligators, Grandma and Grandpa Brammer called to talk to Kolton but it was too loud, so they called back after we left and sang Happy Birthday to him.
After Andy Alligators we went to the store to get 4 balloons for him.  He LOVES balloons! After we got those we went and got Brady and went to McDonalds (per Kolton's request) for his birthday lunch.
After lunch we went to the park because it was super nice outside and he's been begging to go to the park for a long time.  He was super excited!
I pushed him on the swings, watched him climb all over the jungle gym, go down the slides super fast and run around like crazy!
He was SUPER proud of himself that he could climb up this all by himself.  Usually Brady or I have to tell him where to put his feet as he goes up but on his birthday he was finally able to do it by himself.  He got to the top and turned around and looked at me and said "I did it all by myself because I'm 4 now!"

After the park we went and picked Brady up from work and headed home for him to open presents. He was SO excited!   Before we opened presents, Jeff and Vanessa and their family called to talk to Kolton too!

One of the presents he got was a dinosaur, named Spike.  He thought it was so cool that it could move on its own.  He loved all his presents! He also got Cars 2 and How to Train Your Dragon DVD.  When he called my parents to thank him for their present he told them that he also got movies and that he never had to take them back--that he could keep them for forever! He's so used to getting Redbox movies and having to take them back that he thought it was pretty cool he could keep them.
Him and Brady had a lot of fun scaring Missie with it.  They cornered her in the kitchen and wouldn't let her move.  They thought it was pretty funny!
After presents we headed to Teds for dinner (Kolton's pick). He loves Teds and its cheese sauce! :) Any time I go somewhere in the evening Brady will usually take Kolton somewhere and Kolton always picks Teds.  He loves it! He even got sung to while we were there.  When the waiter came to get our drink orders Kolton told him he was 4.  The waiter kind of looked at him like "cool..." so I told him it was his birthday so he'd understand why he was so excited about the fact that he was 4.  :) As we were eating our sopapillas they came and put the big sombrero on him and sung happy birthday.  He was HILARIOUS! He just smiled the whole time and looked right at Brady the entire time! He wouldn't look away.  It was so cute! I just laughed the whole time! It was awesome!
We then came home and the Foys came over to sing happy birthday to him and give him a present and eat his rice krispie treat cake.
Before we could do that, though, he had to show them his cool new dinosaur.  :)

We then sung happy birthday to him and he blew out his candles.  He loves to have Happy Birthday sung to him.  ;)
Kade and Kolton are so goofy sometimes! :)
He had a good birthday! He's 43 1/2" tall (over 100 percentile) and weighs 40.2 lbs (75th percentile). He's super proud of the hairs he is getting on his legs and loves to see them in the light.  :) He loves to sleep with his Curious George stuffed animal.
His favorite thing to drink is juice (usually apple).
His favorite snack is a fruit snack.
His favorite restaurant is Teds.
His favorite food is spaghetti.
His favorite color is red or blue--depending on the day.
His favorite movie is Cars 2.

His favorite thing to do with Brady is "go to Teds and eat and play."
His favorite thing to do with me is "play."
