First Half of October (Carving pumpkins, Superman Costume, Basketball)

October 1st Kolton had two soccer games.  The first game they won 7-0 and their second one they won 4-0.  The 4-0 game was against a team from Chickasha that is really good so they were really proud of themselves on that win especially.

Saturday night while Brady watched priesthood session of conference I took the boys down to Norman to the Brookhaven park to play with some friends.  We met up with Jenny Hinckley, Joni Widdison, and Angela Finnestad and their kids.
Sunday morning we had cinnamon rolls since it was conference weekend.  Delicious!! :)

I came walking into our bedroom to find this.  Haha.  Can you tell dusting is by far my very least favorite house chore to do?! Haha.
After conference on Sunday we went to Jeff and Vanessa's to celebrate Pierson's birthday.  We had dinner, s'mores, and did some pumpkin carving.  It was fun.

While at the party Bentley stepped on a nail without any shoes on and was in quite a bit of pain.  He had a super rough night that night trying to sleep and it was showing the next morning.  He fell asleep on the couch at like 9:45 that morning.
We got to babysit Carson for Jenny to go on a field trip with one of her other kids.  Bentley loved it!

On the 5th of October Bentley and I headed to the store to go pick up his halloween costume that we had ordered online.  He was so excited.  He kept telling me the entire time we were in the store that he was so excited to put his costume on and fly like Superman.  I just went along with it and would say things like "Yeah! That will be so fun!" thinking he was just talking about pretending to fly.  Um, no.  He thought he was going to literally be able to fly once he put his costume on.  So, we put it on and he goes to run and he looks at me with the very saddest of faces and says "Its not working.  I not flying."  I couldn't believe it.  He was very disappointed and said he didn't want to be Superman anymore because his costume wasn't working.  Haha.  It didn't fit anyway, so we took it back.  I just felt so bad.  What a let down that had to be for him.  Haha.
So, in MAY we got our family pictures taken and in OCTOBER I printed it and put it up.  Haha.  But I love it and it looks awesome.  Even if it was late to get up there.

I had parent teacher conferences the second week of October.  So, we all went to Elevation and then I left Brady there with the boys to head over there.  When I came out of the school the sunset was beautiful.  My phone didn't hardly capture it but it still is pretty. The boys had a blast at Elevation and played the whole time.  Kolton got raving reviews from his teacher who just loves him.  He is testing in 4-6 grade in all subjects so she said he is doing amazingly well since he is only in the 3rd grade.  She said he is kind and funny and just a lot of fun to have in class.  It was a good PT conference.

Bentley has started to love watching "How to Train Your Dragon 1&2" and we love listening to him talk about it.  He says "Toothless" (one of the dragon's names) so cute.  It sounds more like "Dubaless." It is seriously the cutest and I love it.  I love how toddlers talk.  It is so precious.  He also says "I lub you" instead of love and it makes my heart melt.
We got "Boo-ed" for the first time ever.  The kids were pretty excited.  We got a pumpkin with some candy and toys in it.  We went the next day and did it to 2 more families.  It was a lot of fun.

I saw that Brady had been looking at this "Duck Life" vinyl decal online so I decided to surprise him and get it for him.  He was pretty excited and it looks awesome on there.
On the 12th I went to Journey church to let Bentley play.  We usually just stay inside but I decided to let him play a little outside and he loved playing on the hill with fake grass and the big tube.
On the way to practice this night Kolton said to me "I hope we don't do wheel barrels again" and so it made me laugh when the first thing they had to do was the wheel barrels.  Haha.  He hates them.

I feel like I have a lot of sleeping pictures of this little boy lately.  I wonder if that is because he wakes up 6-8 times a night!! AHH! Haha.  I don't know what to do for him but he just comes in my room over and over throughout the night.  It is insane.  He begged me for lucky charms for lunch and so I gave it to him.  He proceeded to eat just the marshmallows and then fell asleep on my bed.  Haha.

I have never made anything pumpkin before so I decided to give it a try this year.  On Sunday, the 9th, we had gone over to Brady's parent's house for a bonfire and Jaycee had made some pumpkin bread that Kolton ate up.  He loved it! So, I thought Id give it a try and see if I liked it plus I wanted to make some for him to enjoy.  It actually was really good!!

October 13th we didn't have anything to do (soccer practice had been canceled and starting in the month of October Kolton's basketball practices had been moved to Monday and Wednesday) so we went up to the church with the Hinckleys and chatted and played basketball and ate some pizza.  It was Kolton's school's pizza night at Papa Johns so we got some from there.  It was a lot of fun!
