Bounce Houses!!

Let's see...this last week I feel like we've had a lot going on!! I always say that though! I've been dealing with my work some more and trying to get the computer fixed. I wish they would just give me a new one...but I shouldn't complain--I am blessed to have the job I do.
We've had a lot of bad storms lately! Last Monday was scary for us--we even had to get in a storm shelter. There's been tons of hail and SEVERAL tornadoes. Luckily for us, we haven't personally had any damage and we were all safe. Oklahoma weather is so crazy!
One morning Kolton told Brady and I that George needed his diaper changed. So, he got the wipes and a diaper and went to town. ;) George wore the diaper for the rest of the day--to the mall to play and everything! I love it how Kolton thinks he is real. Its so cute to me! He talks to him and asks him questions, changes his diaper...:)
On Friday we went to Ross Sorenson's birthday party. They ended up having it at the church because the weather was all rainy but I think that ended up being awesome! The children could run around and play and so could the parents! They had a bounce house there. For some reason Kolton was terrified of it. He even started crying as the workers blew it up. I tried telling him it was just like jumpzone but he was still terrified. So, being the overbearing mom that I am, I just shoved him in there and made him jump and go down the slide. ;) Once he got in there he of course realized he loved it and didn't want to stop. Us adults got to play Bump or Gotcha or whatever you call it (there are so many names for that game!) and that was fun! One time I even made it I think 4 rounds! ;) And, like the story of my life, I was made fun of for my form--I swear I can't do anything without being teased! ;)
Kolton was really excited about Ross's birthday present!

Brady got in there with the kids and would throw them in the air as they would shoot. They LOVED it!!

Here's all the kids from the party (minus Beckett who had already left and Reese who hadn't gotten there yet): Kade, Troy, Atticus, Kolton, Ross and Tucker.

My cell phone has pretty much become Kolton's favorite toy. He knows how to unlock my phone, get to the picture folder by clicking on the flower, going to the folder of pictures I've taken with my phone and then find the picture or video he wants by flipping through them all. He will sit and play with my phone for half an hour!

On Tuesday we went to Jumpzone with Liz and Devin and their family. It was a lot of fun! For one thing, the place was empty so that was GREAT! Kolton loves that place!!! And its so nice now that he can do everything by himself because you don't have to go with him unless you want to! ;) Sometimes those slides are a lot of fun!
This slide is probably 20-25 feet tall and pretty steep (although it doesn't look like in the picture) and Kolton would go down on his belly. This kid has no fear.

Brady did it too! And got a burn on his elbow! ;)

And then I did it. ;)

Here's Dalton! Look at his face!! It cracks me up!!

The boys were trying to climb up the slide in the little kid bounce house. They'd get up pretty far and then fall down. Poor guys!

After Jumpzone we came to our house and had dinner and played the Wii and the Foys met us here. We had some YUMMY food! :)
Kolton and Dalton were being so funny together! They would cuddle on the ottoman with this blanket and just look at eachother and bust up laughing! They also had their own little wrestling match. :) They'd tackle each other and push each other all while their parents egged it on! Probably not the best idea but it was so funny! Luckily, Kolton hasn't pushed anyone since so that's good. :) We had a lot of fun that night!
Here's some videos from both Ross's birthday party and Jumpzone.

New Bed

Last week Kolton and I went shopping with Brittney and Kade and Emery. We were in the dressing room area and the boys were laughing like crazy looking in the mirror at each other. Kolton would also feed Kade his cheerios. ;) With Brady's work schedule we don't get together as often but the boys still love playing with each other!!

Some of the highlights of our week is to watch Brady play sports. :) Kolton especially loves it! He gets so excited to go watch Brady play basketball and softball! Look how old he looks with a baseball hat! He looks like a little boy!!

Kolton has been sleeping a TON lately! Almost every morning I'm up and dressed and ready before he even gets out of his bed. ;) The other morning he came out of my room and told me to take a picture. I asked him why and he said he was wearing mommy's shirt and needed a picture. O...k...:)

On Thursday we went to this really cute park with Brooklyn and Kashton. Kolton had a ton of fun playing there! We are definitely going to have to go back there!! Its new (which I love) and pretty big.

Grandma Moffett bought Kolton a new bed last week. Oh my goodness! Kolton LOVES it! And so do I! He doesn't wake up in the middle of the night and come climbing in to my bed anymore! Its great! He'll sleep for 14 hours and then take a 2 hour nap the next day! Its wonderful! ;) Its really sturdy too! We've explained to Kolton that he is NOT allowed to jump on it and he hasn't yet! And its been a week! Its a wonderful bed and I'd recommend it to anyone! However, be sure you have AT LEAST two people to set it up if not more! Most of the set up was pretty easy except for putting the slats in the bed (since there's no boxspring). I'm glad the set up is over, though, because we love it!

Brady's family came to one of Brady's softball games on Thursday. We had a fun time! Brady had fun too! Eddie always treats Kolton to a Popsicle or sucker so he was happy! They won their first game and lost their second.

Kolton has become very fascinated with Curious George. He takes his George monkey with him everywhere! Last week he had been begging me all week to take George to the mall to play. So on Friday, after mowing the lawn, Kolton, George and I went to the mall. When we got in the car he told me that "George need buckle too" so I buckled George in the seat next to Kolton and off we went.

He took George on all the toys and down the slide and threw him in the air! They had a good time together! Kade even got in on the action playing with George!

Kade caught glimpse of everyone reflecting in the windows on the ceiling and stood there watching all the action for a few minutes!

The boys took turns jumping off the flowers over and over and over.

Saturday Brady had the day off so we all went to Dylen's track meet. This is the last of Dylen's high school track meet we'll ever go to. Kolton ate this ginormous apple! He also got to go to Grandma and Grandpa Brammer's house in between some of the races and play basketball and in the sprinklers. Dylen ended up qualifying for state in 3 of the 4 races he ran in! I also ended up getting a wonderful sunburn on my face. I was teased by MANY because of my raccoon like appearance. ;) I was wearing sunglasses and so everything but around my eyes was bright red. Its starting to look better now but I'm still going to have a weird tan line.

While at the track meet we got to meet Gerald McCoy (played football for OU and then was the 3rd pick in the NFL draft this year)!!! It was great!! Brady was too embarrassed to go talk to him at the meet so Madison and I went and asked someone to take our picture with him. He was such a nice guy! Totally not used to his fame! ;)

As we were leaving he was still outside and so I convinced Brady to ask him to take a picture with him and Kolton. Of course he obliged. ;)

Kolton has really come to love playing with Adam. He's his best buddy when we go over to the Brammers. Adam has to do everything with him! ;)

Saturday night we had the Foys over for the first time in weeks! It was great to hang out with them! We had really yummy food--steak, grilled corn on the cob, rice pilaf, Caesar salad and cookies and ice cream! It was fantastic!! We peaked on the boys and they were enjoying a movie together all snuggled in their blankies.

I can't believe we don't have any pictures from Mothers Day! Brady treated me to french toast for breakfast and then Jaycee made everyone dinner. Kolton and Brady got me this AWESOME silicone mat to place on my cookie sheet so cookies don't stick. It is AMAZING! We tried it out on Monday after the tornadoes and the cookies just came right off and cooked more evenly too! They also got me a cookie spatula to help with the cookies too! It was great! We also got to talk to Shawn on Mother's Day! It was so much fun! It was great to be able to talk to him! He's having so much fun on his mission and is such a great missionary! We are so proud of him!

Kolton discovered rolling down the hill at Dylen's track meet on Saturday. He LOVED it!! And was pretty good at it for his first time!

Sweet Boys

I feel like I've been so busy lately. And yet I have nothing to show for it! ;) Friday and Saturday I was gone all day and then Sunday too so Monday all I did was play catch-up with all the house chores and errands. And I still feel like I haven't really caught up! Friday was spent going to my work and running errands and going to a barbeque at the Brammers and then going to the Thunder game that night. Saturday I got to go help Sterling with his boards by being one of his patients. I had to leave Kolton with Sterling's mom because Brittney was up at the school too. Surprisingly he did really well! He only cried for less than a minute after I left and that was it--and he has only seen her a couple of times! Someone like her needs to come to our nursery so Kolton will stay in there!! I'm so nervous for him to be a sunbeam this January--he's only stayed in nursery I think 3 times! AHH!!!
On Thursday I babysat Kade while Brittney and Sterling met with their builder and then went out to dinner for their 4 year wedding anniversary! The boys were playing in Kolton's room and then it got really quiet so I went to check on them and they had laid down and were watching a movie. It was cute!!
I took the boys out to the front yard to play basketball outside and let them run around some. They loved it! I guess it took basketball to a whole other dimension! ;)
Kade all excited he made it! ;)

These boys will play basketball for hours! I'm not even kidding! Kolton even made it at his parents house when their goal was at 8 feet!

Brady has started reading Kolton books every night again. Kolton has had a hard time adjusting to Brady being gone more than he used to. He always tells Brady "no go to work." Anyway, so after we read the Book of Mormon and say prayer and brush his teeth, they go in to Kolton's room and he reads him a book. Then I have to come in and tuck him in. I don't know why it has to be me, but it does. ;)

One afternoon Kolton wanted to watch George in my bed. I put it on and he was sucking his little push pop when he fell asleep with it in his mouth. After I took this picture I took the sucker away so he didn't sleep with it the whole time! :) When we woke him up, though, he thought it was still there and kept trying to grab it and was trying to suck on it. How funny!

Friday night we went to the Thunder/Lakers game at the Ford Center. It was a lot of fun! The second half was especially amazing! We ALMOST won! Even though we didn't, though, it was a blast! At the end of the game no one left until the players left the court. Everyone stood and cheered for our team. It was great to see how supportive everyone was!
Brady wouldn't take a picture with me in front of this but Brittney would! ;)

Brady and I at the game wearing the shirts that they give everyone. I wish they weren't all extra large, though, so I could wear it sometime. Its cool, though, to see everyone in the Ford Center wearing the same shirt!

Tip-off! (Which we did twice for some reason--I'm not sure why...this is the second one that actually started the game.)

Monday night after going to the park Kolton took a bath. He wanted to wear his sunglasses. It was cute! He also lost his gum in the bath...

One thing he did this week that I thought was funny was the other day he put George on his bed, put the blanket on him, turned his light off, turned the fan on and asked me to turn a movie on for George so he could go to bed. He gave George a hug and kiss and told him "nigh-night" and shut the door. It was cute to see him love George so much! ;)

Firehouse

This weekend we were invited by our friends, the Shipmans, to go to a fire house in Oklahoma City. Devin's dad was retiring as a fireman and so they were throwing him a surprise dinner and party. They invited us to come along and have Nate show us around the fire house before the party. I've never seen some of the rooms we were able to see! He took us in to every room there! Kolton was a little afraid of the fire trucks but still enjoyed looking at them. He's so funny--he loves to see them from afar but was really hesitant in person. He just kept saying "no drive--firetruck no drive." While we were there, though, they got a couple calls they went out on and so Kolton got to see the firetrucks light up and the sirens go off as they left. He actually enjoyed seeing it drive away even though he kept telling us he didn't like it. :) Dalton even went down the pole with one of the firemen a couple of times. We kept asking Kolton if he wanted to but he never did--he just wanted to watch Dalton do it.
below: (He's saying "hi mom!")

Nate took us all around and showed us where they slept, the locker room, where all the equipment is kept, the offices, the classroom, the kitchen and let us get in or on any of the trucks. It was awesome!!
Kolton was a little nervous to wear the hat and Brady had to help hold it on him because its really heavy--but I thought it was cool!

We finally got him to get in the firetruck after I got up there and he saw that it was actually pretty cool in there. ;)
We had so much fun and I'm so glad we were able to go! We had the best dinner ever with some of the nicest people. All the firemen were very welcoming and enjoyed playing with the kids. Kolton's favorite part of the whole thing, though, was probably the basketball goal they had there and let him play with. They were all impressed with his shooting skills! :) Seriously, though, that 2 year old can shoot! And well!!!
