Bentley is a Sunbeam and it SNOWED!

January 1st Jeff and Vanessa blessed Everson in their ward which started at 9:00 so we went to their sacrament meeting and then left there and went to our church that started at 11:00.  I would have just had us stay at Jeff and Vanessa's ward except that it was Bentley's first week to be in Primary as a Sunbeam and I didn't want him to miss that first week.  He was excited and nervous to go but he has the best teacher so he did great! She just knows how to make kids feel comfortable and needed.  We have loved having Sis. Aubrey Coots as his teacher! He was so happy after church and liked that he got to go to Primary.

I ended up leaving church a few minutes early so I could get home and get things ready to leave to take Kade back to his parents.  That way when they got home we could eat and go.  Bentley thankfully fell asleep on the way there and slept nearly they entire time.  It was great.  The boys just played their video games, watched movies, and complained that their time together was almost over.  Haha.  We met the Foys at a Braums and ate dinner with them and then turned around and came home.  It was sad to see Kade go...the boys had a blast together! We went to Chuck E Cheese and Heydey and just had a good time!

This frame was in Kolton's room when he was a baby but it had pictures of him in it and then a picture of a dog in a pile of soccer balls.  It has been sitting in Bentley's closet waiting for me to do something with it the entire time we've lived here.  Haha.  So I finally printed out some pictures of Bentley's favorite TV shows and characters as well as a picture of Jesus and put them in there and then hung it up in his room.  He loves it!
Took Bentley to the dentist on the 5th because he said his tooth was hurting.  Thankfully nothing was wrong and he actually let Jeff look in his mouth this time.  Haha.
Maddi and Taylor came over that night to hang out as well.  It was their last night in town.  We had fun having them here to visit.  They taught us the game "Golf" with cards and we had a good time.

On January 6th, it snowed! So we packed up the boys and took them to get donuts but first we stopped at the church and did donuts in the parking lot.  ;)

When we got home the boys wanted to play in it so they went to the backyard and had a blast! I was surprised with how long Bentley lasted but both boys loved it.

One of the young men in our ward and our good friend, Kason Landrum, posted a video of himself running out into the snow in his swim suit and doing a snow angel in it so Kolton decided he was going to do it.  It was awesome! And then he challenged some family members to do it and Tyler ended up taking him up on it! Haha.  It was so great!
That afternoon we decided to take the boys sledding on the only "hill" in Moore you can sled on.  There wasn't a ton of snow left but the sleds still worked! Bentley thought it was pretty fun until he went down with Kolton and ended up getting sprayed in the face with snow and then he was done.  haha.  So Brady took him to the car while I watched Kolton go down several more times.

After that we went to go help Shawn move a few things from his old apartment into his new one.  He and Mckenzie had moved all the little stuff but needed help with the big stuff.  We took one load over and had no problems.  Then we go to leave the parking spot with our second load and one of the dressers just completely topples over and out of the truck onto the ground.  It cracked and broke most of the drawers and then the dresser also.  It was awful.  So Shawn decided to hop into the back of the truck and hold everything while we drove it to the apartment so nothing would fall again.  We made it that time without anything falling out.  Luckily Shawn was able to fix the dresser so that was good.
I thought I'd take a picture of Kolton's report card so we could remember all his good grades! :)
And then this story made me smile.  I love reading the things he writes.  It is just the best.
Stacy Heperi, from our ward, gave me a recipe for some cookies that are pretty darn good! They are huge, though! One batch only makes 9 cookies! They are just so dense but they are super yummy!!
