Sidewalk Chalk, Put-Put Golf, Playing

Kolton's new favorite place to play is on the dresser in the office. The other day he made a bridge so Handy Manny and his friend could stand up on it to watch all the dinosaurs go to the park. :) On Thursday we went to Chickisha with Liz and her boys to go to this sidewalk chalk show at this college there. Her father-in-law owns a trailer that he sells fair food from and he was hired to work at this show. He gave us free corndogs and lemonade and fries. SO SO yummy!! Its amazing! After we enjoyed our yummy food we walked around the oval and looked at all the art. Some of them were CRAZY good! I couldn't believe that people were able to do it with sidewalk chalk on the road!

There were some pretty talented artsits there that's for sure! After our lemonade was gone the boys started eating their ice, one piece after another after another! As we walked back to the car Kolton and Dalton continued eating their ice. I was taking pictures of them and as I snapped one I realized Kolton was choking on a piece of ice. I totally got a picture of him doing the whole gag thing. I debated whether or not to put it on here because its kind of funny now when you look at it but I don't want to gross anyone out. :) He quickly got it out -- by the time I asked him if he was choking it was out so it only lasted like 3 seconds.

Here's where we got our yummy food! :) They were the only food vendor there so they had a line at least that long the whole day!

On Friday night we went to Andy Alligators. Kolton has been obsessed with golfing lately. He has asked to watch golf instead of his typical choices of Handy Manny or Little Einsteins or something lately. With the Masters on his obsession has really grown so Brady thought he'd like to go golf at Andy Alligators. He LOVED it! LOVED it! He was so excited and did pretty good!

On the first few holes he got really excited when he got it in (there's 18 holes). As it went on, though, it was like he expected his ball to go in and would take nothing less. ;)

In hole 13 he got a birdie (its a 3 par hole) and then at hole 14 he got a hole in one. He was SO excited!

After doing put-put we took him for a ride on the "race cars" as he calls them. He had a blast riding them and did not want his turn to be done! After that we headed to Brady's parent's house (even though no one was there) to watch the Thunder game since we don't have the channel most of the games are on. Kolton got out the blocks and built a couple of towers.

Saturday morning we went to the church to do a deep cleaning. I had to leave in the middle of it to go to a photo class where we went around OU and took pictures of plants etc. We were originally supposed to have some models but the girls couldn't make it so we tried to find some things to take pictures of. Most of the pretty flowers had been picked but we found a couple to just play around with. There was also this huge trail of ants that were moving SUPER fast running from this little hole in the sidewalk to a wall. I don't know what they were after but they sure were getting at it!

Medieval Fair

Sometimes (who am I kidding--all the time) I just look at him and melt. I love his sweet side! He has been getting a little crazy lately. I don't know if its the little boy in him coming out or what but he has some serious energy! One night he was going crazy in the house running and jumping and dancing around everywhere so Brady took him out to jump on the trampoline to expel some of that energy. Brady would roll around on the trampoline and Kolton was supposed to jump over him before he got him.

Then they started jumping high--like REALLY high. Our trampoline is old so it has some serious bounce to it!

When they'd hit the peak, Brady would let go of Kolton so he'd get the feeling of free falling. Kolton told me it kept tickling his belly.

He LOVED it!

Then Brady bounced on his back and Kolton laughed the entire time! He came inside when it was all said and done and crawled up next to me on the couch and said "Whew! I'm tired mom!" It worked!! :)

He got sent to time out sometime this last week and when I went to let him out he was reading his books. I snuck back out and got my camera to take a picture. His favorite book right now is "Brown Bear, Brown Bear What Do You See?" He takes it all over the house with him and even sleeps with it. He loves that he can "read" it by himself.

My dad was in town last week and came over one night. Kolton was SO excited! He loves when Grandpa comes to visit! He was super excited when Grandpa gave him "Tangled." I don't even know how many times that movie has been played!

Kolton even got Grandpa to play kinnect. Kolton's favorite is the track and field so Grandpa got a workout. :)

I don't remember what day this was but I was in the kitchen doing dishes or making dinner or something and Brady came quickly in and told me to get my camera and go to Kolton's room. It cracked us up that he dressed himself up as a fireman randomly.

We went to the Medieval Fair. We went with our friends, Shana and Kit Revell, and Liz and her boys. They charged for parking this year! What is up with that? I haven't been in years, but when I was a teenager/college student I went a couple times and I don't ever remember paying for parking! Anyway, I thought there would be more kid things. I don't know what I was thinking but I was a little disappointed. I'm not interested in any of the things that are sold there (I don't want to be a fairy...) so I didn't really want to look around at anything. Kolton ended up riding a lama and going through a pirate ship. He was really wanted to ride the lama and then I told him I couldn't go with him and he changed his mind. He was excited when the worker said I could walk along side him. He LOVED it!

He kept telling me that the lama was so pretty and so nice to let him ride on her.

We brought Missie with us to the fair. She loved all the attention! Everywhere we walked 300 people wanted to pet her. Well, except for one mom. Her kids asked her as they walked by if they could pet her and she said "No, she might be contagious." WHAT?! Contagious of what exactly? Haha! It made me laugh. And anyway, why would someone bring a dog to a public place full of people that could make you sick? There was TONS of people there! TONS! And it was pretty warm! We took a few breaks to cool down and let Missie cool down as well. Kolton took advantage of those times and played with her. He loves to tease her and ride on her. I love that she'll let him do whatever and she just sits there.

We went through the pirate ship and Kolton thought that was pretty cool.

The pirates fascinated him!

One was even nice enough to let us take a picture with her. :)

On Sunday in between conference sessions Kolton and I made some cookies. I gave him the beater and he went to town. After a few bites he said, "Mom, I have it all over my face! Take a picture!" So, here's our obligatory cookie face picture. ;) I don't know why but Kolton says "I made a gold!" instead of goal. It makes me laugh every time. He put his socks on all by himself for the first time this last week. Every time since then that he's done it he tells me "Mom! Say YAYY!! You did it by yourself!" so every time I have to get really excited for him! :) He also tells me "You are so good at cleaning and tables and dishwashers mom!" After he brushed his teeth one morning I told him that his teeth looked so clean and white. He asked me why they were white. I told him that if they are clean they are white. He asked to see my teeth and after inspecting them he said "Mom, you need to brush your teeth! They are not white--they are dirty!" Gee, thanks! ;) I guess I need to whiten my teeth! Haha.

A little dog park...A little FHE

We went to the dog park with the Foys and their dog, Boomer. Children under 10 are not allowed in the dog area, so Brittney and I hung out with the kids outside the fence and watched the men and their dogs. :) Kolton and Kade enjoyed a lot of football playing. Brittney took these pictures and I just love this one of the two boys! Such good buddies! :)
Climbing the fence! :) They loved that!

Kolton asks me all the time to get a picture of him with Missie. He'll go over to her and lay on her or try to give her a hug and ask me to take a picture. I have yet to get one of them where neither of them are moving. One of them is always fuzzy!

For family home evening last night we learned about general conference and the prophets. We really felt the spirit as we bore our testimonies to Kolton about our prophet, President Monson and how blessed we are to have a living prophet to teach us to be better people so that we can be a family forever. After our lesson we then made sugar cookies. Kolton LOVES to make sugar cookies!

I got flour put on my nose and, well, Kolton was just covered in flour.

The boys decided to have a flour fight in between batches. That was messy!

Kolton was COVERED and proud of it!!
It was a blast though! I made a half batch of dough and it turned out to make like 12 cookies which was perfect for us! We then decorated them and ate most of them! ;)

Missie

(Totally a bunch of random pictures for your viewing pleasure with no theme or rhyme or reason. :))
Check out Kolton's pouting/mad face. He pulls this face when he wants you to know he's upset about something. Cracks me up!
We've had this beauty for 2 weeks now. Couldn't ask for a sweeter dog! When we got her she had never been an inside dog or around children so we thought we had our work cut out for us. Turns out she was made to be around kids and lounge around inside. The only thing we are still working on is her licking. Can't quite seem to break her of that. Other than that, though, she is just as sweet as can be. She has taken a liking to me and I have to admit I kind of like it. It makes Brady happy too, that I enjoy having her around and inside all day with me.

I watch Kashton every other Thursday while his mom goes to school. This last week we went outside to jump on the tramp. The boys had a blast!
