This last week at Kolton's school they were raising money for a needy family. You could pay $1.00 and dress up each of the days.
Monday was mismatch day. Kolton tried to go as mismatch as he could. He was so funny as he was picking everything. He thought it was hilarious and he kept saying that everyone was going to laugh at him. And then he'd giggle.
He wore mismatching shirt and shorts, two different socks, a tennis shoe and a church shoe and then he wanted to do half his hair spiked and blue and the other half not.
I love this picture of him in his mismatch outfit. He's so crazy!
Monday night as part of fhe we went to the park and went on a walk. We brought Xara with us and walked to the playground at Little River Park while Kolton rode his bike. He played for a while and then we walked back around. As we got close to the parking lot we stopped at a field and played frisbee. Kolton got pretty good at it. As we were playing frisbee it started to sprinkle a little and then a little rainbow showed up. It was awesome!
Kolton has gotten really good at coloring. He works so hard to stay in the lines and he does really well!
Tuesday Kolton came home with something extra special. He was chosen as "Student of the Month." We were so proud of him! It is just great to know that he is a good boy at school. I think he's awesome :) but it is nice when others recognize that he's a great kid too!
We told Kolton he could pick somewhere to go get a treat and he picked Cherry Berry so we went there for him to get a treat. While we were at the Big Wheels Race we got a bunch of coupons from Cherry Berry for 3 oz off so we used that and so him picking Cherry Berry was perfect! :)
That night we also went to Madison's volleyball game. This was her last home game of the season and we hadn't been to a game so we thought we go see her play. Kolton had fun playing with his Hulk toy that he absolutely loves!
Wednesday was "crazy hair" day so we spiked his hair all over and sprayed it blue again. (I'm definitely getting my money's worth from that little bottle!) He's so cute!
Thursday we went to the park with the Foys. It was PERFECT weather for it and I'm so glad we went! The kids had a lot of fun playing! After the park we ran to the Foys to borrow Kade's cowboy costume from Halloween a couple years ago because Thursday was "dress like a cowboy" day. Kolton LOVED it and thought it was super cool to have facial hair. Haha.
He wanted to make angry faces for me.
Seriously cute! :)
I also helped at the book fair at Kolton's school on Thursday as well. His class ended up having a pizza party too since his class bought the most pizza from Marco's last week for their pizza night. He was so happy he got 2 pieces of pizza! :)
That night Brady and I went to the temple. It was stake priesthood night so I tagged along with Brady. Brady's parents watched Kolton for us. They had to come get him at 4:00, though, because they were driving to Stillwater for Madison's last volleyball game. I told Kolton he was going to go on a road trip and all throughout the day he kept saying "rope trip." A couple minutes before he left to go with them he asked me "Mom, why do you keep saying 'road trip?' Its 'rope trip.'" Haha. It was funny. Brady and I had a great time at the temple! Afterwards we helped clean the temple and then we went home. Brady's parents weren't going to get home until 11:00 or so so they said he could stay the night. He ended up falling asleep on the way home and stayed out of it when they brought him in. He then slept until about 8:45 or so and I went and picked him up at 9:30 on Friday morning.
Friday was pajama day at Kolton's school. He looked so cute in his robe. :)
He had such a fun time dressing up throughout the week and I'm glad money was raised for a family in need. We are so proud of Kolton and the choices he makes. He was also "student of the week" at school this week and was able to bring some pictures to school to show all his friends. He thought that was pretty cool!
