Going to the Park

Lately it seems like we have been going to the park each evening. It has been a lot of fun for us to spend time with each other and Kolton without any distractions. And you know me, I love taking pictures, so here are some from our park experience on Monday night.

House Chores

The other day Kolton helped me unload the dishwasher. He thought that was pretty fun!

He also played with some magnet letters we got from Brady's mom while I was making dinner. Soon, though, he found the broom and thought that was pretty scary!

Finally he can CRAWL!

I know I do this a lot, but I have a ton of things to post!
Last Thursday we were at Brady's first basketball game of this season at church. I was talking to my friend Brittney saying that Kolton does all the right things to crawl, but just won't DO it. Just as I said that she started laughing and I look over and he is crawling! He saw someone's cell phone and apparantely that was enough to entice him to get going. So, there you have it! My son can finally crawl! Yay!

Piano Player Already!

When my mom came to visit in June we had just received this piano from someone in our ward. I hadn't ever let Kolton play on it and so my mom thought she would see how he liked that. Well, he loved it and ever since then he LOVES to play the piano! I'm so glad my mom was able to come out and show Kolton how cool playing the piano really is. She's so awesome! When I'm in the office working on something on the computer, he will always pull himself up to the piano bench and play a little song for me. I had to take a few pictures of him doing that today. He can barely reach, but plays the same keys over and over.

Here comes the bumps and bruises...

So, in the past day Kolton has gotten 2 new bruises on his face. It is so sad. I know it is something you can't prevent--every kid does it, but still...
He is walking along furniture now. Slowly, but nonetheless, still moving along. He pulls himself up to everything!
Yesterday afternoon he pulled himself up on our bed's footboard while I was folding laundry. A few minutes later I heard a bang and then a scream and I looked up and he had fallen and had a huge red mark on his cheek. Minutes later he had a faint purple bruise on his face. Today, he hit his head again and now has a faint purple bruise right above his left eye on his forehead. Poor guy.

Lunch with Dad!!!

This year we have decided that every Wednesday Kolton and I will meet Brady down in Norman for lunch. Today we went to Taco Bueno and Kolton had a lot of fun just talking away. He's getting so big. I'm so glad we are able to meet Brady to go out for lunch once a week. It isn't ever anywhere expensive or fancy, but I feel so lucky to be able to do this. Brady has always worked so hard in school and work and I am so thankful for that. I'm so glad he hasn't wanted to take an easier route or go to school less or work fewer hours. He's trying so hard to provide for us now while trying to make a better future for us all at once. What a wonderful husband I married! :)

Playing with Mom and Dad

Here are just some fun pictures of Kolton playing with Brady and myself (there aren't many pictures of me so I gotta treasure the ones I have!). He thought it was pretty cool to be inside Daddy's shirt! I have so much fun with Kolton! He makes my life so happy! I feel so blessed to be his mom! We have a wonderful family, Brady and I. With two beautiful children, I couldn't be more lucky. I just can't wait to experience all these experiences with Lillian! Sometimes when I am thinking about Kolton and feel a little sad that I for now have missed out on such sweet memories with her. I can't wait until we can have her once again! But, for now, I feel pretty lucky to have such a sweet son!

Dog Watching

Lately Kolton has had a fascination with watching the dogs. If I would let him he would sit there for an hour just watching them run around and play. Right now we are trying to breed Titan and Mae so they've been spending a lot of time outside. When we bring all of them into the garage, Kolton loves to stare out the window and wave to them. I'm not sure he really understand what they are exactly and he doesn't really even know where to look at them (he doesn't really focus on their faces) but he loves them nonetheless.

Kolton's First Football Game!

Tonight we went to the "Moore War." This was Kolton's first football game! He had so much fun! He enjoyed watching all the movement on the field and his favorite part was watching the cheerleaders (already a ladies man...). I forgot to bring the camera to the game but I did take pictures before we went. I know I'm his mom, but seriously, I think he is so cute!

Oh and he has started waving hi and bye to people. Every time he waves we wave back and then clap and say "yay!" So, now, when he waves, he then claps. He waves every time he sees someone, whether or not they are looking at him. We walk through Wal-Mart and he just waves at everyone we walk by. It is really funny! While I was taking these pictures our neighbor across the street was mowing his lawn and Kolton kept waving at him. He now will copy you and say "buh, buh" for "buh-bye." My little boy is growing up!
(Sorry for all the pictures...I just had such a hard time choosing!)

gO-KaRT fuN

This weekend we went to Brady's parent's house where Kolton was able to ride their Go-Kart with Brady and I and also with his Grandpa Brammer and aunt Madison. It was funny because they said they were going to take him on a walk and we walk out and they are on the go-kart. Kolton still isn't sure about them (we've taken him on them before and he screamed any time you tried to move) but he didn't cry this time, so that is good. Hopefully it won't be the last time he goes either (there was a crazy accident on them yesterday so Brady's parents might be getting rid of them).

UTAH TRIP

This summer our family went to go visit my family in Kaysville, UT. Kolton and I left in mid-July and Brady came at the end of July. Kolton and I also went with my family to Washington state to visit all my relatives out there and where my sister Cambrea fell off the treadmill and completely scraped up her leg. It was so much fun! My Grandpa made him a hat, which was so cute, and we went to the Seattle Space Needle. Once we came back to Utah, Brady met us and we were there for another week. We went to Park City and rode the zip line, the alpine coaster, and the slide of which my brother Tyler fell off of and completely scraped up his arm and leg (we apparantely are accident prone...). Kolton played with his Grandma Moffett for most of the time we were at Park City. We also went boating on Lake Jordanelle. That was a lot fun. We all went tubing and my brothers did some wake boarding. We also went to Lagoon where Kolton rode the Merry-Go-Round for the first time and loved it! It was such a fun trip! It was fun to spend time with my family and for him to get to know them a little more!

Some 8 month Pictures!

We decided to take some pictures of Kolton on a bench at Brady's parents house. Everyone was nervous he would fall off, but he did pretty good!

Kade's Blessing

Our best friends blessed their baby, Kade, yesterday. It was a fun day filled with food, friends, and family! Here are some pictures from his blessing.
