SPRING BREAK-UTAH STYLE (LONG POST)

We had such a fun Spring Break! We decided to drive to Utah and surprise my family! It was so fun to see each of their faces when they saw us! It was definitely worth the 18 hour drive! :) We did a lot of fun things like going to the zoo, go swimming, have a campfire and play outside a lot!
Here is an awesome shot of my brother, Tyler, throwing the football to Brady.
Kolton loved to be on the trampoline! This is Shawn and Brady bouncing him.

This is Shawn showing us one of his tricks on the trampoline (there is a video at the bottom of the post).

Just a picture of CRAZY Kolton!

If you look closely, you can see Brady and Kolton looking at the monkey. He absoultely LOVES monkeys!

Kolton in front of the elephants.

Kolton and I on the merry-go-round. He wasn't too sure about it at the beginning, but by the time it ended, he wanted to do it again! It was fun!

He loved this fox. This was one of the few animals in this area that he would actually look at.

Giraffes are so cute! I love looking at them. They are just so fascinating! Here is Brady and Kolton in front of a baby giraffe.

Swinging Kolton (me, Kolton, Tyler, Cambrea).

Brady and Kolton looking at the bear.

Kolton playing on the playground at the zoo.

Shawn entertaining Kolton one night.

Brady and Kolton on the train at the zoo.

Our family with the campfire. We made smores!! MMMmmm!

Kolton helping me roast the marshmallows!

Eating the smore. He loved them! If I didn't feed him fast enough he would just take it upon himself to take a bite anyway!

All of us at the swimming pool (minus Derek and my parents). Kolton had SO much fun swimming!

Kolton going down the kid slide. This was such a fun day!

Brady taking Kolton down the big slide. He LOVED that! Everyone took turns taking him down a few times!

While we were swimming the dogs ate Tyler's homework...I know, pretty crazy!

Grandma and Kolton on the trampoline!

My mom had this lollipop drum and Kolton thought it was pretty fun to play with. Cambrea was nice enough to chaperone to make sure he didn't eat it! ;)

This is back at home. We were playing with bubbles with Kolton in the living room. It is just always too windy here in Oklahoma!

Before we left for the trip we had the suitcases in the office. Brady and I were on the computer and we heard piano playing. We turned around and apparantely he had climbed on the suitcase and on to the piano bench where he then proceeded to play the piano. We have a climber on our hands! ;)

He got the toilet paper again...

And here are a few videos!

Easter pictures

Well, we are in Utah visiting my family right now, so that is why there haven't been any posts in a long time...We are having so much fun! I'll have to blog about it when we get home!
While we were here, we went and visited Jeff and Vanessa and their kids and Jaycee and Adam in Provo. Vanessa took really cute pictures of Kolton and his cousins, London and Pierson in their Easter outfits. Go look at them on her photography blog: www.adashoflovephotography.blogspot.com. Vanessa asked me a couple weeks ago what his outfit looked like so she could think of places to go to take the pictures. I explained it to her and she asked if I got it at The Children's Place. I told her yes and then showed her a picture of the one I got and then she said that she bought the same sweater for her two boys! It was too funny! I can't believe we bought the same outfit for our kids to wear without even knowing it!

First Boo-Boo

Kolton got his first boo-boo! It has been so nice this week and so we've been able to play outside a lot! We were in the front yard throwing a tennis ball for Sugar to catch. He decided to try and run away from me down the drive-way and this is what happened...

He loved to show everyone where his boo-boo was. When I took the band-aid off it really weirded him out that there was still something on his leg (the scab). He will sometimes try and pick at it and I'll catch him and he'll just say "boo-boo" as if the whole time he was just trying to show it to me.

Ponca City and FHE

This weekend we went to Ponca City with the Foys. They have been asking us to go for a long time and it finally worked out this weekend! We left Friday and came back on Sunday. It was so much fun to hang out with them and Sterling's parents! They are such nice people!

Kolton and Kade playing the piano...the LOVED it! They are going to be such good friends! They are starting to almost play with each other sometimes! It is so cute!

Here they are right before a bath... :)

Kolton was showing Kade how to splash!

Kade is such a smily baby!

Guess who! (I just thought this was funny!)

FAMILY HOME EVENING

For dessert for family home evening we made brownies. We decided to let Kolton help for the first time! It was fun to watch Kolton and Brady make them together!

Kolton cheesing it! :)

Measuring the oil.

Pouring the brownie mix.

And finally, Kolton's face after eating some...

Oh my goodness

These are just a few pictures to show what we've done the past couple of days!
Friday night the Deans watched Kolton for us so that we could go out on a date! It was awesome! We went to HayDay and played games. It was so nice to be able to go out together and do something inexpensive but tons of fun!
This is a picture of us right after we dropped him off!

I cleaned out Kolton's bedroom and closet and consequently had a lot of trash! :) He grabbed the bag and dragged it around the house for about 10 minutes!

He got in the toy box...

Just a funny picture of Kolton saying "Ohhh!!!"

And Dad showing him how!

Here is a video to show you what Kolton is really like! He goes around talking like this ALL DAY! I'm serious! If he wants something he will say the real word, but other than that he goes around talking his own language NON STOP! It is too cute! ;)

New look!

Today I went and got my hair cut and colored again! Yay! It is pretty short, but I think I like it. I came home and surprised Brady which I have been wanting to do for a long time and finally did it today! Yay! My bangs are little messed up in the first picture, but you get the idea...

Kolton is sporting a new look too! :)

Scared?

Well, of course the pictures are in the wrong order, but all well. We went to the duck pond after Brady's classes this week. We had gone there once before with Kolton when he was younger and he loved it. This time...not so much. He was TERRIFIED when the ducks came at him! It was so funny! (I know you guys might think some of these pictures are silly, but I post a lot of them for my parents so they can see him!)

The only way he would look at the ducks the minutes after they scared him was if I held him, so I just held the camera out trying to get a picture of him with the ducks.
Here is is pointing to the ducks. He is learning what a lot of animals are and what sounds they make!

A picture Brady took of Kolton and I looking at the ducks.

This was at the beginning. They just stole the cracker out of his hand and he is SCARED TO DEATH!

This is the very beginning...when the duck wanted his cracker! :)

Here is a video from that day. It really isn't THAT exciting, but I thought it had a few funny moments. He would just walk up and down this hill for about 15 minutes--he thought it was pretty cool. Anyway, we have been working with him to say yes by shaking his head up and down. Everytime he says no, now, he will then shake his head yes. He does this once in the video (after Brady tells him to come back). Then, if he falls and has something in his hand, he puts it down, stands half way up and then picks the thing back up. I don't know why he does it, but he does it in the video so you can see. (And again I am video taping off of the video on my computer because the original was a HUGE file...this is why the quality is so bad but it wouldn't upload)

Another trip to the park?

Kolton absolutely loves to be outside! We have had an abnormally warm winter this year (with just a few random cold days here and there) and so Kolton has been lucky to be able to play outside as much as he has. He loves to go to parks and swing so this afternoon Brady and I decided to walk to this park down the street and let Kolton enjoy his afternoon!
I like how they have a baby swing next to a regular swing--it let Brady and I swing next to Kolton which was a lot of fun!
Brady eating a few toes!

Kolton about to go down the slide.

Brady and I chew a lot of gum. Recently Kolton has taken notice to this and even though he has never tasted gum he thinks he needs a piece all the time. Just in the past couple of days he has tried to open the packages and get one. He found this pack on the computer desk.

Brady gave me this bear the first Valentine's we were married. It has been up in our office on the top of a bookcase. Kolton noticed it on Sunday and started roaring at it--he is starting to learn all the noises animals make, so we decided to take it down for him. He kept giving him hugs and kisses. He really is a sweet boy at heart--even if he sometimes arches his back and screams! :)

Brady and I had an enjoyable Valentine's Day! I made him a huge blanket for him for Valentines-well it isn't quite finished yet, but it is usable! :) I'll finish it one day! Brady woke me up to waffles and a new waffle maker! I've wanted one for a long time and am really excited to have one! And we were actually able to go out! Can you believe it? I know...pretty crazy! Brady's parents took him so we could go out for ice cream! We were gone for over an hour and he only cried when they changed his diaper and tried to take his shirt off (he kept asking to take a bath but apparantely didn't really want to take one). I was pretty happy!

Playing outside

Our last puppy left yesterday! Yay! It is so exciting, but kind of sad at the same time! We were finally able to pull up the tarp in the office, though, as well as take the whelping box out so that is nice! We now have 3 bedrooms again! :) Well, for another 4 months before we have to do it all over again...
Here are just a few pictures of Kolton.

We babysat Kade a couple of times this week and so I thought I would put Kolton in the bouncer to see what he thought. My mom and I thought for sure he would love this as a baby, but he never really got hooked. I wish he would have--it would have been nice to have something to occupy his time once in a while besides me...Anyway, he loved it for a few minutes. I couldn't get a single good picture of him in it though. He kept turning away and doing crazy things, so this is the best I could get.
He really is turning in to a little boy. It is so fun! Almost every night now he will ASK to go to bed. He will come up to me and say "ni-nigh" and start walking to his room. It is so sweet! One night he got a towel from the kitchen and carried it out holding it like his blanket and asked to go to bed at 6:00. I debated on whether or not to do it since it was still 2 hours away from when he normally goes to bed and I didn't want him waking up at 9:00 and be up for a few hours thinking it was a nap but he kept asking so I put him down. Well, he slept until the next morning! It was crazy!
Today he said the word "light" with an actual "t" at the end. He never puts the ending on words really so it is quite an accomplishment for him to do that!
He really is learning a lot these days and I can't believe it! It really is fun to have a little boy!

Did you see that?

I absolutely LOVE this picture. When we were at the park, I tried swinging with Kolton but the holes below the swings were huge so I couldn't reach the ground to push us off so we couldn't really SWING. Kolton wasn't so interested. Then Brady decided to swing with him and Kolton LOVED it because Brady could actually get going! Oh the joys of being short...

He kept running away from me and the camera...

This is pretty much what happens any time we go anywhere with our dogs...a line forms. It is so funny!

We went to the park and took the dogs on a walk and let Kolton play. It was SO nice outside. Here is Kolton on the slide. He loved trying to climb back up it.

Here is a picture of Titan and Brady showing off Titan's ups. :) Brady is 6'2" so you can see how high Titan can jump!

Kolton walking something...He just had fun dragging it around.

He loves to brush his teeth!

Man these are so out of order...
I caught Kolton digging in my purse.

Kolton found the yard stick and was walking around with it in his mouth. By the time I got the camera, he had sat down, but it is still funny.

We got to play with Kade this week because Brittney got super sick. These boys are going to be best friends! They are so funny together!

We got a new dog last Saturday. Her name is Jewel. She is a one year old blue Great Dane that we will breed with Titan.

Kolton loves to put lids on things. I was sitting at the computer with Brady and gave Kolton a pen to put the lid on and off. This is what his hand ended up looking like...
I don't have a picture to show, but poor Brady tore his hamstring yesterday playing basketball. He is in so much pain and can't really do much. He always gets hurt...I swear! It is either his ankle or his hamstring...we just go back and forth. Poor guy. Needless to say, the house hasn't been cleaned since...Between the two boys there really isn't much time.
It was a fun week! I am excited for this week too! I love Valentine's Week!

Ice Storm

I know this is so old but I haven't had the opportunity to post about this so I am going to today! We have been SO busy lately with the dogs...in fact we have sold 4 puppies in the past 24 hours! Now we only have two left!

We had an ice storm last week that came in on Monday and lasted until about Wednesday or Thursday and school was cancelled from Monday afternoon until Friday morning so Kolton and I were able to play with Brady a lot! It was a ton of fun! Too bad it wasn't snow, though...Snow is so much better for playing in, but it was still cool!

OK, so Brady just called me and we sold ANOTHER puppy...they are coming in an hour to pick her up! Now we are down to 1! That is 5 puppies sold in 24 hours! CRAZY day!
